If Cal retains BoB as the GM and Head Coach, he is the worst owner in Houston sports, overtaking Tilman. His father wasted JJ Watt's prime, Andre Johnson, Arian Foster etc and now the son is on his way to wasting Watson and Hopkins' prime.

Pathetic. I might boycott the Texans if BoB manages to keep all his power next year.

Hope Crane's actions motivate Cal to do the deed and send O'Brien packing as well. The city of Houston needs this to be the most legendary black Monday ever. Add BoB to the chopping block.

The GM and coach who just brought the city it's latest championship have been fired behind cheating scandal. Not many at all in this city would have held it against Crane if he hadn't fired them but he went further. If a bum like buttchin can survive after this I don't know what to say about the Texans organization.

I don’t see why it isn’t meant to be an immediate turnaround. That’s what we need. Packers are in the NFCCG with a rookie HC. Titans (in our division) are in the AFCCG with a second year HC. Didn’t LAR make it to the Super Bowl in McVay second season? It can be turned around immediately and with the Texans personnel, it needs to be.

BTW I think BOB should be fired immediately

Agreed although think this has more to do with his preferred style of play vs personnel. Even if based on personnel, it didn't really seem to help us much:

    - Dead last in false starts.
    - Dead last in illegal formations.
    - 23rd in delay of games.
    - 22nd in illegal shifts.

Oh and not to mention BoB went 1 for 8 in challenges this season.

He literally has NO incentive to do so. The NFL rewards owners no matter what type of organization they have. There is no built-in incentive for an owner to strive to have a winning organization as they get paid reams of $$$ no matter what their teams do on the field. Cal will still get millions of TV $$$ with or without Buttchin on the sidelines promising to "coach better". As I posted before, come September the parking lots at NRG will be full of tailgaters and the stands will be full of Texsheep wearing their expensive NFL jerseys as they drink whatever koolaid the Texans' PR dept spoons out. So why bother to change when the money just keeps flowing in no matter what. The sad fact is that fans like yourself and players like Hop or JJ care more about winning that those dimwits running the Texans. And why should they? Just look at all of the inept football operations out there that keep rolling out the same BS year after year. They still get to cash those NFL checks.

Hire Brent Venables for whatever he wants.

If you're not going to fire O'Brien, hire Venables, and a competent GM.

We need a breath of fresh air in here. I think Venables is young enough and good enough that he could potentially take over as head coach some day.

That said, it's going to be hard to root for an Obrien coached team. But I'm a glutton for punishment. Dude should have been fired yesterday.

My dream coaching staff, taking into consideration how rapidly the NFL game is changing, is to grab accomplished college coaches who are used to navigating year-to-year personnel/game changes:

    HC: David Shaw
    OC: Tony Elliot
    DC: David Aranda

Like, I have dreams about this - and, I'll be honest, they're quite pleasurable.

Then you need a guy who takes care of clock management, decides when to make challenges, and when to go for it on fourth down because BoB is terrible at all those things too.

I used to call him mediocre but I'm not that high on him anymore. He is a below average offensive coordinator. He is terrible at all the other little decisions a head coach has to make. He is slow to process information at game time and overall not very bright.

I think BillyO should let go of Romeo and take over DC duties himself.

He's REALLY REALLY good at multi-tasking like that!!!
