Talk about dying by the three. Thats exactly what happened last night. I knew eventually that "three love" would come back to haunt them. Why shoot so many threes when you have players who thrive inside. Why didn't Jordan Hill play? Why did they wait so late to start attacking the basket? Entire plays were shut down because they would just run down and jack up unnecessary threes. Look, i get the Rockets are a three point shooting team. I am just saying that 85%(exaggeration) of the shots in the 4th shouldn't be threes.
I agree, If you live by the 3, one day you will die by it. Maybe McHale thought they would surely start falling, they never did.... Shooting teams will have off days, especially when we insist on the long 2's as well.
Cost em the game today. they didnt take proper advantage of Boguts absence. They should have pounded them inside. Jefferson or Gasol.
it doesnt matter if Bogut is out, we should have won at home!! and please clutchfans members, next time dont make anymore 19 games or 22 games win streak when we know very well stuff like that only happens once every decade. with the tight b2b2b season we're having even a 10 game winning streak is a stretch. i hope they come back strong the next game
You would think NBA players would realize that the other team's shot blocker is out and begin driving on their own.
Lisa Leslie has more heart in the paint than Jordan Hill. Missing shots it happens but it did happen too much and Patrick Patterson and Courtney Lee should have scored more especially Patterson 4 points is terrible.
No. My beef is with the Rockets three pointer addiction. I brought up Hill because he might have been able to cause damage inside without the presence of their best big man. He definitely could have handled his own against freakin Larry Sanders.
They literally played they came off a back to back last night. I think that's why they took so many threes. Tired legs.
Exactly, McHale has mentioned in interviews before that he wants this team get out of this horrid mentality. So I know he must emphasise this point in practice and in the locker room. Its up to his players. This team just doesnt like to penetrate.
That is a good point, since I am apparently appointed by you.....you should all listen only to me. DD
True, but sometimes they need to be reminded because they are in the heat of the battle....and can't see the forest through the trees. DD
Simply put, our team is not very good. They can beat almost anyone but then can lose to just about anyone. I think Mchale has done a pretty good job to be honest given the team he has to work with. And any team relying on jumpers and without a guy that can go to the FT line at will, is going to have some rough nights when the shots arent falling.
