How are the Rockets gonna sweep NOH in the playoffs if we can't even sweep them in the regular season?

Hornets would be our best matchup if we had to play either the Spurs, Suns, Mavs or Jazz. I think we could take the Hornets easily in a 7 game series.

Rockets will be 7th seed and New Orleans will be 2nd seed. If we can stop Chris Paul then we can beat the Hornets.

Chandler always plays Yao well (i.e. doesn't get called for fouls), and West and Paul eviscerate our defense every time. Yeah, I have faith in Rafer in a 7 game series against Paul  . They are definately not a pushover for us. We couldn't even consistently beat them before they were even good. With that said, it's not like we'd have a better chance against the Suns or Mavs. Spurs, I think we can play tough, but they are falling fast.

I rather go up against NO than the other teams we've lost to in the playoffs
( Jazz & Dallas) hell no to Suns , Spurs are slipping but still they are the champs

Agreed. I personally want to see us play SA in the first round. No disrespect to the Spurs but, we match up VERY well with them.

Add in a little AB, Scola, Landry and sprinkle in some smatterings of Novak, despite their amazing playoff history of recent, I think we could take them. ;)

The Hornets? I think we could beat them in a playoff match up but, AB would have to log most of the minutes vs CP3 and Novak would have to give us positive minutes to counter NO's ridiculous perimeter game.

Perhaps with playoff style mostly nullifying the uptempo styles save for Phoenix, we could wear them down.

The three teams I least want the Rockets to play are

    1. Phoenix
    2. Dallas
    3. Utah

If we face any of these three, I'd be pessimistic about our chances. Everyone else, and I'd go into the series thinking we have a good shot.

The Hornets are a bad matchup for the Rockets, but their playoff inexperience really hurts them come April.

Chris Paul could single handedly beat us. All the high post picks Chandler and West set will kill Yao. I think we should sign a defensive stopper at the 1 spot before the playoffs begin, considering we are up against the likes of:

    1. Chris Paul
    2. Tony Parker
    3. Devin Harris/Terry/Kidd
    4. Nash

Thats true, but I don't think we would lose if we met them in the playoffs.

I also think we can beat SA in the playoffs, but not in the first round.

Great story about that game. I was sitting by Grendal on the 4th row behind the basket. It was a typical New Orleans game, West tearing the Rockets up, Chris Paul getting his and letting Rafer match him at the other end. Yao was shooting freethrows near the end of the game.

Grendal yells at West, "Hey David! Good game."

West looks up and smiles and Grendal, and then Grendal says, "But you lost!"

West got visibly embarassed and a little angry. It was really funny.
