Said it before, I'll say it again. We've reached a point where big risks are worth taking. Since JB is interim and he is losing his job on this trajectory, we have to bench Harden for a few games. He needs to commit to defense AND the team needs to learn how to score consistently without him on the floor. We're being held hostage right now. Harden is essentially saying he believes the other 4 guys can cover up for his defense and he will cover up for their offense. The problem is that 4 guys can't cover up for a non-existant 5th, and one man cannot score for 4 other players. If we tell him to play defense, he will sulk and bolt. This is a hostage situation. He does not understand that the other guys will not be motivated by this stance. Bench Harden. Force the team to learn how to play team basketball. Show Harden that we'd rather lose without him than lose with him pissing everybody off on both ends of the court.
It is funny that I recall always telling that to myself after every season after the Dream retired. It seems it is still relevant today. SMH.
