Well I don't speak for him. But I see it's more like "lost in translation" or "lost in D&D" type of misunderstanding. Why'd he call you a liar in a public forum, I just don't get it.

 

I don't see how that is "lost in translation". He clearly wrote:

"I would believe you IF you said a few of the 20 flights..."

There are no two ways around it - he does not believe me. (Interestingly enough if I DID lie and say a few of the 20 flights....he would believe me - go figure)

He went on to say:

"I highly doubt your words on that"

Again. He made it very clear. He does not believe me. When someone doesn't believe you, they are calling you a liar whether or not they say "You are a liar".

There is no misunderstanding. You either believe someone or you don't. He has stated he does not believe me, therefore he thinks I am lying. You can't get much clearer than that.

I've been on about 12 flights in the last couple months, mostly on Southwest. I don't remember the policy on the other airlines (Northwest, Continental), but on SW you can line up in the back but not in the front.

I'm not calling you a liar and I certainly hope you're not calling me one. I flew four times in the past two weeks, twice on Northwest and twice on Sun Country. I don't recall such a statement being made and clearly recall congregating in the aisle while waiting for the lavotories. You said you flew international flights so its possible they were taking more precautions on those. It might've been that you were also flying during a time of higher threat level. Its also possible that I just happened to be flying with aircrews who just weren't that serious, very possible considering its Northworst.

I think its very likely that we had very different experiences and we're both telling the truth. I don't see the need to go around accusing each other of lying about something like this.

Actually, the nation with the highest per capita murder rate in the world is Columbia, and the nation with the highest number of total murders is Russia, acording to the statistics that I could find. That probably does not take into account things like the genocide in the Sudan though.

 

Only if "white" and Caucasian are synonymous. However, in my book, they are not synonymous. I have heard Arabs be referred to (and appropriately) as Caucasian, but not white.

Really? Columbia. Wow, thanks for the lesson Moniker. Either way the gist of my point is that Murder = Terrorism. Yet, I dont see the great debate from the Bush administration to take care of problems at home, when we probably (and again I am guessing) have a higher rate of Murder then most.

 

Actually, according to the stats I could find, our murder rate is lower than average for reporting nations. The average is 0.06 murders annualy per 1000 people, and in the US it is 0.04 per 1000 people. Maybe you should stop suggesting policy based on your guesses.

Actually, according to the same stats, U.S. murder rate per capita (as a country) ranks 24th in the world, which is about 88% percentile considering all countries listed in UN. And that's NOT very good. To say that US murder rate, 0.04 muders per 1000 people, is below world average, 0.06 per 1000 people is misleading, because these indices are heavily skewed by the extremely high murder rates of a few countries ranked at the top.

In other words, Dreamshake's claim that U.S. has higher murder rate than most countries is correct.
