I just flew on NWA last week from Philadelphia and they made no such announcement and as soon as the fasten seat belt light was off there were a lot of people congregating, including myself, infrot of the lavatories. The only announcement they made regarding the lavatories was that passengers in the main cabin (coach) couldn't use the lavatories in the front cabin.

 

It is offensive that you are calling me a liar. I have absolutely no reason to lie with respect to this. I have offered MY experience as an example and for some reason you are calling me a liar. I have offered links where the TSA has asked for airlines to comply with this. I am not doubting you or anyone else who says they have NEVER heard this announcement. I'll say it again. Of the 20 flight segments I have been on thus far this year, EACH AND EVERY ONE made an announcement that in order to comply with the request of the TSA, passengers should NOT congregate in the aisles.

 

I've heard the same messages on planes. With respect to calling you a liar, hey, it's better than being falsely accused of being racist, which FranchiseBlade and Cabbage cowardly did to me. The liberals are frustrated and they're starting to act out more. They're upset that nobody listens to their views in real life, and as a result, us conservatives in the D&D are taking the brunt of it. It doesn't bother me a bit - I see right through it and laugh.

 

The interesting thing is if I HAD lied and said NONE of the 20 flight segments have made the announcement, he would have believed me, but since my experience is different from his, I am a liar?

He hasn't heard this announcement, yet he implies his headphones are on, so perhaps they were made on his flight. He also implies that maybe he isn't listening yet I am the liar when I share my experience.

 

bigtexxx please read carefully. I don't know you, and I don't know if you are a racist or not. I do know that the comment you made was racist.

I think it is pointless to accuse bobrek of lying, we weren't on those flights so I don't see any reason not to believe him.

I do know that nearly every flight I'm on at some point there ends up being a line for the facilities, and I am sometimes in one. I will be flying again September 8th and I will listen to see if they say anything on that flight.

Whether congregating by the lavatories is against regulations or not, doesn't really have any effect on what bigtexxx said. The fact that he would violently try to enforce a particular regulation and become an airline vigilante is intself a threat to passengers.

I wonder if when the plane is landing but not quite stopped and the seatbelt light is still on, and people start unfastening their seatbelts to get their carry-ons quicker if bigtexxx runs around attacking all of them.

I do hear an announcement about keeping your seatbelt fastened and the plane coming to a complete stop and the captain has turned off the fasten your seatbelt sign before attempting to retrieve luggage. Tell us bigtexxx, do you attempt to violently attack those passengers who disregard that particular FAA regulation and announcement?

 

As far as I observe, I don't think anyone is calling names on anyone in this thread. All they did was focusing on the nature of specific comments/statements by a couple of posters. There's no need to get defensive about it.

Saying "I highly doubt", indicates that he does not believe me. Saying "I would believe you IF...", indicates he thinks I am not being truthful.

I do get defensive when I am being accused of lying.
