What I was afraid of going into playoffs.

If you double Harden and get the ball out of his hands, there really isnt a reliable playmaker or ball taker on this team.

    Westbrook is too erratic.

    Gordon has terrible handles.

    Austin Rivers has been trash.

Tucker cant make plays with the ball.

That leaves you with Green and House and you are not winning games against good teams with those players making decisions with the ball full time.

Thunder would have adjusted and double teamed Harden a lot more if not for Dort.

Lakers have figured it out that they can pretty much shut the Rockets offense with Harden double and getting the ball out of his hands.

    1) Lakers figured it out and Dantoni can’t.....

    2) you are right, once Harden is doubled it’s a wrap.....

    3) Lakers did not have to do too much homework tho , when the opposing center is 6”5

Pretty much. Our offense looks pathetic in the 2nd half. Lakers at any time can just double Harden and we look completely lost.

Lakers in 5 or 6. Rockets will be going home next week.

Harden makes it very easy to deny him the ball. His only move to get open is hovering at the top of the three point line. That's literally it. Our best offensive threat needs to find other ways to get looks besides at the top of the god damm three point line. The Lakers know this hence why it's every easy to deny Harden and have him go silent consistently in late game situations in the playoffs.

exactly, I don't get why he continues to get a free pass. He legit will only do 2 things, its pretty easy to guard him if you clog the lane

This is because we don't do nothing else. When you have played like this all season (and for the last 4 or 5 yrs), this is gonna be the result. No one cuts to the basket, every one just stands around looking at Harden or Westbrook. Can't get a real flow to the game just standing at the 3pt line. If there was more movement, then it would be harder to constantly double Harden. But the offense is so predictable. Just sad and frustrating watching it

    1. We are ok. This is a long series. Not Having House in this game hurt us though. House ia a secondary facilitator and a good defender. The Rox have to have every person contributing. One Mistake that MDA is making is allowing James to be double teamed the way the Lakers have. The Key to beating that is High Screen action and the screener is a shooter that will roll out for an open look. This forces The Lakers into double teaming on The Rockets terms opposed to their doubles disrupting our offense. Again MDA not coaching is the problem

Look at LeBron. Look at Kobe. Look at Jordan. Look at how many angles and areas of the court they would catch the ball and start their offenses. Even Hakeem found variety of ways to get touches.

If you get your looks with only one method, defenses will make that away obviously. And when you have such a heliocentric offense, when a defense successfully denies the sun of that heleocentric offense, the other players in that system.get confused because they are used the.sun dominating the ball.

yup, other than Harden, no one else can actually dribble. so if they get run off the 3 point line, everyone panic drives and goes nowhere.

People like to blame WB, but this is a scheme and personnel i

This offense looks just as bad last year against GSW under CP3 who just stands in the corner half of the time.

that's because when he was out we turned into a massive iso ball team. Its kinda hard to change that rolling in to the post season, but if you want a clue as to why he's gone that's it. That's the offense that he didn't want. Hate on CP all you want but he's one of the smartest players in the history of the game. Dude gets it.

18 points in the third quarter and 20 points in the third. Nothing more to say. This team has no solution. Always some excuse. A new sign of heartlessness. Another season, the same excuses. I think it's time to show MDA and Morey the exit door and make big changes. Nobody is indispensable in this team.

Well besides all this, Lebron shows why he is one of the greatest players, if not the best ever close to Jordan. He is single-handedly exposing the Rockets small-ball strategy with his length and quickness. Rockets have no answer. Harden is known to be the best one-on-one player in the NBA but against James, he fizzles out.
