On the topic of why the Rockets have not yet found a trade to make: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...urn-rockets-trade-issues-rising-2-guards-more I am sure there are such feelings, but it's well before the deadline and most deals of any significant happen at the deadline.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, don't get mad, other teams. Sure break their necks to help LA and **** though...hmm.
We shouldn't believe unnamed sources, they could just be trying to stir up some drama, for all we know Morey already has a deal in place that he has to wait til just before the deadline to do. Bottom-Line if a team believes that a trade helps them they should do it if they make that decision based on emotions then they aren't good GM's and probably won't be going far anyway.
It is a new era. I guarantee you Morey does the same thing in trades. I'm sure it factored into us not dealing Asik to New Orleans. Why would we give the Pels Asik to pair with Davis??? We're simply not going to do that. Well..simply put..teams see we have Harden and Howard and Parsons and there's a certain pack of teams that simply aren't going to hand us a deal that puts us in a position to become the next super team they have to beat. I don't blame them. Do you? As for the "arrogance" factor. Just drivel. Most of us think Riley, James, Wade, and co. are arrogant. We probably unanimously feel that Cuban is arrogant. Who cares about that? Deals do get harder when you've got a couple superstars and teams can see that come 2015 you could and probably will add a 3rd superstar. They can see it coming.
they mad ... but if a GM let his feelings get in the way of his job, he needs to be fired asap, they can think what they want they will make deals with rockets if it makes sense for their teams, period
Confidence often times gets misconstrued as arrogance. GMs just don't want to look bad. Turned spare parts and trash into Harden & Howard in 9 months.
LoL. This stuff always comes out before a major move. Fine. Nobody wants to play with us. We will let Asik and Lin expire in 2015, sign Kevin Love and Parsons to long term deals, and then commence to pillage the league for the next decade. I'm sure Morey will feel terrible.
Feelings will get out of the way once it comes down to business. Most of the GMs are smart enough to make a smart move when needed. It's not like Morey is going to fleece anyone in an Asik trade. He is still a very capable player, when healthy.
By the way, Carl gets my vote for thread starters. If I had to pick one guy outside of admin to start threads and shut everybody else down, I'd probably pick him. His stuff is usually always relevant.
Other GMs jealous Morey gets so much love here? Other GMs resentful of Morey bringing high level analytic's to the NBA, surely making their job tougher? Other GMs hateful that we do not want to make a trade unless it undoubtedly benefits us? Point is, if a trade can be made to the Rockets that would greatly improve someone elses team.. to decide not to make that trade, TO ME, seems incompetent and those GM's should be hated in their citys, jealous and full of resentment of us. They also have no business being an NBA GM if they let their ego get in the way of improving their team. Thats like someone saying 'I don't want Lebron James on my team.. even if its for the vet min because he is a pompous and arrogant asshat who disrespects the game with his flopping' I bet they sit around and talk about this: Jerry Colangelo: I hate those arrogant Morey and Rockets! Moreyball.. WTF.. Harden? Just throwing money around at strippers while people work hard jobs.. Parsons.. He has it all, flaunting his good looks in sexy marketing ads- so arrogant! I want to be loved.. I want hot woman jumping on my back too!??!?!! I want Colangeloball!!! Ima stick it to them!! I'm not going to get Parson be on team USA. That will show him and his eye catching good looks whats up
This. Who cares if other teams don't like us. If another GM wants to turn down a deal that would make his team better just to spite Daryl Morey, then let him. Good luck with that strategy. Making franchise altering decisions based on emotion sounds like something the Knicks would do. We all know how well that's worked out for them.
