I like the current starters. They have all the poise. They scream calm and confident. The second unit comes in, and pushes the tempo, outscores the opponent, then mix and match. It's a good system. Keeps things different.

If you are just throwing this out there as food for thought, understanding you really do not know what you are talking about, fine. But if you seriously think the second string should start over the starters than you have another thing coming.

First, the coaches evaluate, evaluate and evaluate. You hear Adelman complaining they do not have enough practice time. Well it's not just so the team can get his offense and defense but also he can get who is better fitted together and just better. Who runs the offense better. Who runs the defense better. Which group seems to play better together and overall who are the best guys to put on the court at an given time. They do this for living and and they are some of the best in the world at it.

Now it is possible you sitting in front of your computer are smarter than they are. (Your posts indicate otherwise) but even then you ddo not have have even one percent of the data film on court presence and personal communication with the players to make your opinion worth much.

So why don't you just let the people in charge make that decision and enjoy the victories. Barring injuries we will have many more this year.

Yao should be play the final 6 minutes of every period. He can prepare both mentally and physically to maximize those minutes. He's just the guy to do that, and do that well. By the new year see how he's doing in terms of endurance and mobility. Maybe start increasing the minutes by then.

I don't know why, but I'm actually pretty confident that Yao will remain healthy and productive offensively this season.

    6th Man Award?

Name one successful team that has successfully accomplished this other than Manu with the Spurs....maybe Crawford with the Hawks.

You want your best players together as much as possible to gain cohesiveness.

    Hayesfan is spot on.

Bobby Jones with the 76ers, Kevin Machale had 2 sixth man of the year rewards with the Celtics, Bill Walton did the same thing a year later( not in his prime tho), Starks with the NY knicks, Jason Terry for the Mavericks and Carl Landry.

You'd have to coachbadlee to start your bench instead of your best talents. Must keep the best talents of their role together as much possible to gain chemistry.

Cute play on words, but did you see the chemistry before AB went out? Once AB went out and the coaches had no choice but to play the bench, they did very well against a Spurs team that had started to dominate towards the end of the 1st half and 3rd quarter. Slowly but surely, more of those bench players have and will become starters.

No pun intended bro, just thought that was kinda funny to myself. But you are right to a degree. Same thing that happened when Brooks took over for Rafer. As much as I like Ish right now, I'm trying really hard not get too high on this guy just yet. He's got some skillz no doubt, but AB starting with Yao did bring some success. Just wondering if Kyle/Ish moving up to start and AB as 6th man would net us better results.

Don't get me wrong, Ish will make some mistakes, but in the long run he will be alright. It's not just the Houston fans who are going crazy. The league has even taken notice. He's even been mentioned in ROY talks. If he were to lead this team on a winning streak, ROY would actually start to look possible.
