Sadly it has been 4 and a half months since I last had a full-time job, but I do have 2 more teaching interviews next week. Just imagine if your camera had been gone for 4 and a half months instead of 37 days - when you finally got it back, this thread wouldn't have been 21 pages - no, it would be around 80 or so!
My daughter was wanting to join the girl scouts but after seeing this thread I'm not going to allow it.
I think giddyup should sue this woman for returning his camera and demand a full apology in court. For returning his camera.
My wife was handling it. Then her frustration began to show and she told me that the Scouts told her that Camera Lady had stopped communicating. If I have someone else's valuable property, I don't forget about it-- especially if I've walked away with it. I'm not the camera person in our family; that's my wife. I was not even involved in this until I saw that time was running out. We needed our camera for 5th grade graduation; we needed the 2-3 months of pictures on there because my wife creates photo CDs for all the families in our daughters' classes each year and, last but not least, we had this big family reunion coming soon. This lady's handling of the matter was very disappointing but I didn't harbor any ill feelings until she was ugly to my wife. In this whole matter, I made one phone call to the GS and wrote one letter to the GS. That is the sum total of my involvement. You want results? Call Giddyup!
You say 10 days is reasonable and I say its not. Then there were 23 days of radio silence after Camera Lady was told by the GS that they had been in touch with the person who, in fact, owned the camera. Is that not a circumstance that creates the request for return of the camera? How do you justify 23 days of silence? I focus on the camera lady because she rose to a level of inconsideration that towers over the girl scouts My wife made a simple error. I think you, and many others, envision this scenario: camera lady is the last human being at the Girl Scout camp and she stumbles upon a lonely camera. In fact, this was a very busy train station kind of place. The story is not that she found a left-behind camera; the story is that she took a camera because she thought she knew to whom it belonged. Alas she was wrong about that and chose not to remedy the problem with any degree of responsibility. The prompt was not that no one else was around. The prompt was that Camera Lady thought she knew to whom it belonged. I'm just glad to know that you are a better lawyer than the lawyer!!!!!!
I think I'll sue her for the total cost of the letter I wrote to the Scouts. I shouldn't have had to go to that expense...
Giddyup - there's no 'I' in team. Seems like all you care about is yourself and your wife may be even worse. Think about the example you are setting seriously
I was recently in the market for a new camera and found the Panasonic Lumix DMX-ZS8 to be the best combination of quality and value. I paid $300 for it a couple of months back, but it looks like you can get it for under $250 from Amazon currently.
Should I care about you when my wife's camera is missing? Who should I care about? How about the woman who willingly, willfully walked off with it-- wanting to be a Good Samaritan for her friend but turning into a Missing Person for us. Is that who I should care about?
I can't believe you idiots are still going on about this. STFU about it already. Giddy, I like you and I actually agreed with you being pissed off initially but you are taking your b****ing to DaDakota proportions. You've made your point, walk away.
My sources indicate that the giddyup family's Medicalert bracelets instruct responders to summon the wahhhmbulance.
Bump up to the ZS10. In honor of this thread, this was our replacement camera for the one that got stolen from a restaurant. http://www.google.com/products/cata...Tbm2E-r10gH5qsjiAw&ved=0CHQQ8wIwBQ#ps-sellers
Ah perspective! You think I'm b****ing; I think I'm just answering questions. What would you do with "no I in team?" I can't tell if that observer is stupid or dishonest, so I'll just have to let both charges stand.
Yes. Almost 2200 free members in my buying group. If they can ever deliver good offers, this will be a nice supplemental income. Still waiting though.
