giddyup can't admit that he and his betrothed have a tendency to rub people the wrong way and then get offended when people react negatively. Urge to respond increasing...
On what do you base such a ridiculous "observation?" Just another Keyboard Warrior. I've relayed this story to a few people off the internet and they don't seem to have a problem with my disappointment in and criticism of Camera Lady's lack of consideration and responsiveness. They are chagrined.
I'm not sure what Nook is referring too, but his response is interesting nonetheless. Perhaps some self reflection is needed sure. When you told them the story they probably replied with "that sucks, but at least you got your camera back". Then that was the end of the conversation. That is probably what everones first reaction was but when you continually beat a dead horse over something so trivial (ie. you got it back and in time for the silly 5th grade graduation)...then it gets old and just plain silly.
Exactly, giddyup and his wife have no comprehension how irritating they are -- it's really tragic if you think about it.
howbout create a poll outside of clutchfans and ask: someone returns your lost $1000 camera intact 38 days later and tossed it at you do you: a. thank them b. punch them c. have a sigh of relief d. whine & cry about it on a public forum e. none of the above
I only wish that, when the camera was "thrown" at your wife, that she didn't catch it and it took a hard fall to the ground breaking. I say that because I would love to have seen where the situation and this thread went after that. Maybe your thread title would have been more appropriate as they did duke it out? Nothing better than two women duking it out. And, if your wife lost the duke out, then where would this thread be? The possibilities would have been endless for this thread...and you replying to the posts in this thread may have become a fulltime job. We might have had to pay you from the tip jar.
Damn glad you aren't my neighbor. Two women neighbors and their need to talk every time I step foot in the yard is irritating enough. Last worders are the absolute worst.
Your question doesn't even capture the significant problem she created. She didn't "find" the camera on Day 37. She walked off with it on Day 1. Nice try though.... This woman lacks empathy-- which most here seem to also. You take someone's property and you put yourself in their shoes-- you'd want it back as quickly as possible. That's a mature way to handle your own screw-up. I could be "dramatic" by suggesting that all of you nay-sayers would just never get it... but that would be "rhad" cynical.
My motto: "Never let the peckerheads win..." Go back and read the original post and then go back and read all the inaccurate accusations and insinuations. Being the idealist that I am, I'm not going to let the event or my description of it be distorted so someone can have their jollies at my expense. I've got time. Pro bono.
are we sure Mrs. G hasnt logged in as Giddy? I cannot fathom a real man dragging such a minor issue this much.
Oh, I'm wounded! Peckerhead. Minor? A $1000 camera. Minor? My wife being upset by her mistake and not being able to get the responsible party to do the right thing. Minor? I think not. I told Mrs. G to write the letter weeks earlier that I ended up writing much later. It yielded the outcome that was proper. That's the kind of thing that husbands do for their wives. I wouldn't be dragging it out if a bunch of peckerheads weren't piling on and failing to really grasp what happened in its entirety. Hell, one of your crowd admits that he would just have taken the camera. Is that what I'm supposed to cower before? At least he was honest.
