Kinda like it is pure speculation on your part that it was Fatty's fault that he got his chin cut up with a knife, right?

These two threads have a really strange symbiosis.

I wonder if that was giddyup's camera that FFB was using to take his pic. Hmmm...

If the quality of the picture was indicative of a $1000 camera, then he needs to return it. :)

Even more perplexing than that is........what was Fatty doing at a girl scout camp?

    Now THAT is disturbing...

Wow. See, I was too busy focusing on the similarities between AKA nathan8's opus and this thread to even see the connection with FFB.

    Eerie, man.

That is sad that you think a lot of folks would simply pick up something and steal it when there is someplace or someone to turn it into.

If you see a car sitting on the side of the road with the keys in it and nobody inside would you take it? Probably not, so why would you pick up a camera sitting on a table with no one near it at a public place and take it?

i wouldn't take it right away.

Let's say i was at a park/ playing basketball and i saw this camera. I would not just rush over. I would continue playing, if the camera was there by the time i left then I would get it.

okay, lets say if you find 200 hundred dollars in the mall. Would you give it to mall security or would you keep it?

That's pretty much the way i see it.:( People would not think twice if they found your camera, money, or ipod. That's why i'm cautious when i carry expensive stuff....

    How about these:

    1. Lady mistakenly walks off with a $1000 camera she knows is not hers but thinks it belongs to a friend

    2. In the interim she discovers that she made a mistake

    3. 36 days later she throws the camera at my wife after not following through properly on the meeting instructions that SHE had assigned.

Why do you absolve her of any responsibility for correcting his mistake? What timeline do you think is acceptible for a "grown-up?" 90 days?

She made no excuses or apologies for the delay. If she has no idea that 37 days is a long time for such a simple matter to which she has contributed mightily, she needs to brush up on her etiquette. When push came to shave it took a couple of days. Why not that briskness on May 2nd instead of June 6th?

You're just jealous that we got our equipment back....

this is the crux of the issue...to you she knew from day 1 that the camera she had grabbed was her friends and that the girl scouts had contacted her telling her it was yours.

while you went 37 days without your camera, this lady did not know she had your camera for 37 days.

If I found $200 at a mall, I would not give it to the security folks unless it was someone I personally knew. I would take the money and stick it in my savings account. I would periodically call the mall and ask if someone had reported losing any money. After a month, I would consider it mine.

How do I know I would do this? I found a coin purse at a concert. It had over $50 in it with absolutely no ID. For the next month, I called the concert venue to see if anyone had reported losing anything at the concert. I probably called 5 or 6 times and no one had ever reported it.

It all depends on where I found it, on the floor, someones purse or wallet...

I don't understand how she could throw a camera at your wife. When you throw something, the object must completely leave the point A and travel in the air before land on the point B. Did your wife catch it like a football? Did she throw the camera at your wife like a dodgeball? Did you maybe just used the word "throw" to exaggerate and validate your point?

    he probably meant tossed

plus unless the instructions were written down, recorded, or in an email, we'll never know what was the correct set of instructions agreed upon by both parties and which party did not follow the instructions..
