The NBA is well-aware that Houston was leading the league in charges taken. They have been instructed to start calling blocks more often.
Exactly. I don't believe it was fixed or anything. Just like I said earlier...these were some of the 'New Refs' and so far these guys flat out suck. I'd take a old expericed crew over these guys, even if people don't trust em, they aren't calling travels for one team and not the other.
you know whats weird starting with the toronto game it seems like everytime there is a block charge type situation they always call a block on the rockets. it pretty ridiculous...there was one charge called on melo tonight which was more than obvious, but in that toronto game and in the pistons games a lot of charges that were called blocks. not sure if the league mentioned something to the refs that the rockets have been trying to get charges called when most were blocks? it just seems weird. tonights game was bad whats even worse is that i am sure in a month's we'll be talking about another poorly reffed game that will make this one look like it was an perfectly called game
I am with you on this one Texan, this is the Yao treatment applied to Landry tonight. Donaghy's book is being suppressed by Stern because there is some truth to many of the revelations there.
Flopping sucks! Nene and Smith blatantly flopped but the refs fell for it. When the hell did fighting for position under basket become a foul? Landry was just trying to get around Nene but the refs fell for a flop. Landry was definitely targeted for some reason. If I was him, I would've flipped right then.
that was the worst refereed game I ever seen this year, just horribly one sided, the rockets played great but it was unfortunate the game was rigged
the refs don't dislike landry. they just had an over/under to make. my guess is they were going for the under.
That's the MIT degree talkin! lol If the calls are being called like they were last night...Kyle Lower should just "bowl" over a ref and make it seem like they got in the way. On a fast break, throw the ball in their faces and make it seem like its an accident. Maybe they'll get the message then. Kinda reminds me of The Longest Yard and Adam Sandler throwing the football at the Refs crotch..
