Uncomfortably enough it's actually a pretty sound business decision for all parties involved. As far as reputation goes; from a commercial performer's standpoint, publicity and social uniqueness matters infinitely more than ethical conformity: which is somewhat useless. Furthermore, moral and behavioral escapism is a fundamental role of modern entertainment. As I indicated earlier, my only real issue is the extent to which it reveals NBC's complete failure vis-a-vis fictional programming.
