There's No Quick Fix

    Wait, so if I do care, then what happens? The government will magically for the first time in human history start to act on people's behalf?

    This does a better job of conveying what i was trying to say...

    I'm not sure I agree with the Civil War comment, but it is not too far off. I do agree that bipartisanship is not feasible right now and policy is not going to solve the larger issue. We need a sea change and when those happen, there's no telling which way the waves will crash.

    Well, yeah sort of. The notion that policy or new laws won't do anything significant and that we have to change the whole damn culture is the refuge of the depressed or the passive position of "why try"; "nothign can be done"?

    Rimrocker, having a bad week?
