Once, my cat swallowed a rat (bigger than a regular mouse) whole, then proceeded to throw it right back up in my room while I was sleeping.
The cutest rodent in the world lives in the UAE. For your edification, I present the lesser jerboa: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PJnn-wMPU9w?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PJnn-wMPU9w?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Caught it. Paper bag with peanut butter inside, left it on the floor, all the lights off and a lamp shining on the bag. The moment it walked in, I dropped a shoe on the entrance/exit. Do I just throw it out? What if it comes back again?
If you can't deal with killing the thing, just buy one of those traps that locks it in...but doesn't kill it. I can't say if they are any good though, never use them, 'cause I don't care about killing the rodents. But honestly, traditional mouse traps that snap are the best IMO...just put a bunch of them all over the corners and dark areas of your room. So, just go with a snap trap or poison...I assure you, the mouse does not have a bunch of hopes and dreams of being a chef in Paris.
(edit!) Just know that a cornered mouse can be vicious and that they are great leapers. They can also carry disease. Be very, very careful! Keep us informed. Good luck, and protect yourself from evil.
That miserable-looking thing seems to be a cross between a midget mouse and a duck.. someone should feed it to a cat.
I can never get it right. I took the bag outside, and walked a few houses down and left it in a sandy patch. I left it barely closed so that it can squeeze out with some effort. Just as I'm closing the door, I see a cat across the street and I get the feeling it watched me and is wondering what's in the bag. I have to be at work in 3 hours, so good luck mouse, I did what I could for you! Conclusion: mice are annoying as hell, and even though it's gone, I'm too disgusted to sleep in my bedroom. I feel like a goat killed me *oh snap* Gnite all, thanks for the help!
Mice... how cute. I am currently dealing with rats eating their way through the ceiling tile and coming into a classroom, eating every piece of foam/drywall/crumb in its path, leaving little turds and footprints behind, as if to taunt me. last year we caught one. I would say it is the size of a small cat. I despise the entire phylum.
this is just funny, we had a family of mice that crawled in our apartments shortly after management did a attit spring cleaning all over. we used a glue trap on one, but they maneuver around it after wards. then I chased one around the corner where the wife was ready with a huge bag, caught it like that. (im serious) after that management just duck taped all the wholes....yeah I know
