Haha relax, I'll defend Harden as the best player in the game today. I was just trying to give this conversation some legitimate ground to stand on:

I think Harden is a more effective scorer, but he's most likely a less gifted offensive player. I don't know that Harden is the better passer yet. I'm sure Harden isn't the better defender yet. If you want to look at a certain part of TMac's game and tell me its better than Harden's, I'll listen to you, not talk down at you.

Harden "took" the Rockets to the 2nd round with Dwight Howard, Josh Smith and Corey Brewer. No knock against him, I'm thrilled to have a rounded TEAM for the first time since the 2009 super-injury team.

Look at McGrady's body language during that Dallas game 7 and tell me he didn't want to win. Tracy had a heart. He still comes to Houston games and reps the city.

Then again Tinman wants Mark Cuban to come run the Rockets..... soooo..... carry on.

McGrady has plenty of heart. He loves himself way more than any team or city.

LOL @ McGrady vs Harden comparisons.....

    McGrady AVOIDED contact.

    Harden LOOKS FOR contact.

...which is why Harden led his team to the second round.

    Its not even debatable anymore.

    Its over.

    The Fat McLady has sung.

At this point I have no ill-will towards McGrady. Past is the past. At least he's not like Charles Barkley trying to disrespect the Rockets every chance he gets. He still shows up to Rockets games. All is good.

Tmac is not only one of the top 75 players in NBA history and an all time rockets great, but he also loves the city of Houston; he still resides here and attends rockets games semi regularly.

James Harden and Dwight surely appreciate Rockets legends such as Hakeem, McGrady, and the franchise showing their support and coming to games.

    Great observation.

Some people throw the word legend around and don't know what it means.

For example 34 is retired for a legend.

They don't give legends numbers to Trevor Ariza

I agree with Dandorotik, the guy has some psyochological issues...

funny aspect - during the good times there were less of a Tinmac presence

Yeah there were better leaders - but no way every team can get a Jordan, a Kobe, Duncan or Lebron by choice...that is not how the NBA works

He loves Houston, he was a big talent, he underachieved,

now folks should move on and get over it.

Playoff Dwight >>> Playoff Yao, which is why Harden advanced and TMac did not in Houston. Not to mention Harden is in the heart of the Morey era, while TMac's teams were not nearly loaded with depth and Morey just started his regime.

Umm, so Barkley loves Philadelphia and Phoenix- and WTF is up with bringing Trevor Ariza into the argument?? McGrady is one thing- he's not playing for us now- but Ariza is - so pretty please, with sugar on top, shut your ****ing hole already.

    LOL, relax, it's a joke.

You know Ariza wears #1 right? Legends get their numbers retired.
What ? you think they would give Ariza #11 or #23 or #34?

And yes Barkley loves those cities, but the main argument here by Tmac fans is that he's so committed to the city of Houston cause he lives here and he goes to games.

    Shawn Kemp lives here too.

Charles Barkley can trash the Rockets all he wants, doesn't change history that the last time we were in the Western Conference Finals was when he played with us.

I never had ill will towards McGrady, I just dislike the lies and excuses that people would tell just to justify his failures.

For example, this thread was bumped after we won a playoff series.

Instead of focusing on what I say, did anyone bother figuring out why it was bumped?

Was it because it only took James Harden 17 playoff games to advance to the 2nd round being the best player on the Rockets?

Do you realize that Tmac only played 20 playoff games for the Rockets?

And someone thinks he's a "Rockets Legend"?

    Let's look at that:

Moses Malone 45 playoff games, NBA Finals
Hakeem Olajuwon 140 playoff games, 3 NBA Finals

And how about this one?? CHARLES BARKLEY 24 playoff games!

Ben Wallace and the Pistons fans throwing stuff at Artest .

Also that wasn't with the Rockets.

Notice how nobody bumps any Yao threads when the current team advances.

Why did the Tracy fan bump this thread? They hate the truth and they want to feel significant again, because their era had only playoff failure.

it's just jealousy of harden as well as jealousy of Dwight Howard.
