Maybe you didn't watch the Rockets because you would have figured it out on why they booed him. You think they randomly booed him for no reason?

You think the Orlando fans booed him for no reason? You think the Toronto fans booed him for no reason?

So if you don't get why they booed him, do you get why Yao gets standing ovations?

Can't forget when the Tracy fans boys turn to the whole 33 seconds as if its the holy Grail every chance they get. What did it get him? A second round performance? No. They point to the league leading scoring title when his team was the worst in the NBA.

How about the fact that the team made gave the Lakers a run for their money in the second round with Tracy on the bench. The same team everyone says was a bunch of scrubs and the reason HE couldn't get out of the 1st round. Or how he predicted the Lakers would win the series before it got started. What a teammate? Or how he informed his team he was gonna have microfracture surgery threw the media. Or how he quit playing in the middle of a game while his teammates keep working and hustling. Or how it's on him, then said afterwards it was never truly on him. Or how the Toyota Center had a depth perception problem. Or how about the fact the every city he played in boo'ed him when he returned?......

After all these years were still talking about this.........? It's over he's gone, thank heavens.

I can't find an article of him ever saying he predicted a Laker win. And the 09 team had one crucial piece that none of T-Mac's teams didn't have in Ron Artest. I still find it hilarious how T-Mac haters give Yao a complete pass for getting shat on in the 07 playoffs. If Yao could've gotten an offensive rebound in that game, let's face it, we had a chance to win it all if we could beat SA. Because the Semis were vs the 8th Warriors and the Finals were the weak Cavaliers.

As a Rockets fan, I am hugely glad that we only had to deal with ONE T-Mac.

Since T-Mac is pitching now with the Skeeters the Rockets should get him to throw out T-Shirts during timeout breaks -- I bet he could throw them to the upper deck.

The playoff spirit. Sure, he never won a series for us but was always a fan of this commercial.

He definitely did predict a lakers win. I remember that.
That is a good point about Yao in that series. I do remember missing those rebounds clearly. Wouldn't say we were a sure shot to beat the warriors. Not sure if Tmac was mentally strong enough for that series.

Tmac use to be my favorite player. But for whatever reason, he didn't give it his all for our team. Some games he would, but he wasn't all in from the beginning to the end. That reason could be debated. Those who don't want to hate can point to the injuries. I personally think he over played the injury card. The year we faced the lakers in the playoffs, he opted for surgery mid season to avoid the possibility of being traded that year.

Just realized how huge this is for Harden. When he made that pass to Jones he erupted. It's cuz he knows he got that monkey off his back. One round doesn't sound like a big deal, but the fact is last year we shouldn't have lost to Portland, and another loss this year would have made our stars look really shaky.

I'm looking for a way more comfortable Harden in the second round and a huge series from him.

In fairness to Tmac, he never had the 3rd seed for his team. Our first round opponents were nasty.

Meh. The west was pretty competitive back then too. Utah owned us. Phoenix would have destroyed us in a playoff series. Spurs are the spurs. Dallas were better.

Our most preferred opponent back then would have probably been Denver. We played well against them.

great player. too many injuries really put a damper on his career and his competitive fire. wasn't the same player after a few years in houston.

we'll always have those first 2 games vs dallas though

A great player, but never had people around him to bring out the fire that leads to legend status. You could argue that he didn't have it in him, but we saw flashes of it at times. I can't remember him having a team of guys who knew how to win.

As much as people complain about Harden hero ball and us being so one-dimensional now, I always felt it was a lot worse when we had McGrady. He bailed us out a lot more than people remember.

Ya it really does suck because we would have owned the Warriors in the 2nd round... they had no one that could stop Yao

Tinmac to the Rack! McGrady 13 in 33. McGrady just took a dump on Bradley. Rockets with McGrady won 22 games in a row.

    Sums it up nicely

it's a pity there's not another mcgrady, it'd be really nice to have an opposing team we'd be guaranteed to beat in the first round, maybe dallas?
