    Good point Hottoddie,

Maybe the Rockets ship Hakeem and the 13th for Rip Hamilton?

    My take on crypt:

Definite: 3 team trade. Hakeem won't stay. Walt is out. Rockets to move up in draft positon, gives up other picks.

Probably: Rockets desire either Battier or Gasol? (not sure on this spelling)

Our friends are here to meet our new player, but not our BEST friend. Who is the BEST friend of all Houston fans? Hakeem. He's the reason we have rafter decorations.

As for the draft, everyone knows Rudy wants to move up, no one is sure who for. At first it seemed Battier was the object of Rudy's desires, but then the talk of getting Croshere in a 3-way with the Bulls and Indy makes Battier redundant. It also makes Shandon expendable. Maybe Shandon is the one we'll miss.

Radmanovic has not gotten much press, but he did blow away scouts at the pre-draft camp in Chicago. We know Rudy rarely does what is expected, so he may gamble on the 6'9" forward. One thing - is "sao" a typo or is it referring to something?

SAO - San AntioniO? Damaged goods could be Sean Elliott, but the word is he's retiring. He loves SA and will be an announcer for them when he retires.

Sao could be an S where the P goes in Pao's name.

If sao is a typo, then I would have to agree with the Grant Hill stipulation. I can't think of anyone besides Grant Hill who could help us and is currently in questionable health.

42 is Walt. He has very high market value and his $5 million price tag is not outrageous for what he brings.

The refence to pick your battles is Battier. Rudy wants to move up and try for Battier, but that would almost have to be to the #2 spot. Battier had a GREAT showing in Chicago.

Doc is saying we would like to move up, but everyone wants to move up. He refers to Battier, but then says we want someone who is not getting the kind of attention Shane is getting. We compliment Battier and Gasol and then pick someone else, who turns out to be better. Since Boston wants Gasol and Atlanta wants Battier, that makes sense.

Here's a snipet from BskBALL today:

"The Houston Rockets have joined the Celtics in their pursuit to package 2 of the 3 draft choices to slide into the top 6 in an attempt to draft Pau Gasol. League sources contend that the Bulls have been entertaining both teams for the #4 selection, and the Bulls may have some interest in taking Kelvin Cato off the Rockets hands, its unclear at what price.... "

Lots of things are truly "up in the air."

I LOVE this Doc Rocket guy - person, I mean.

Sao? Sao Paulo? Pau? Pau Gasol?

    I dunno.

Yes, and an "o" where the "u" should be, too. It's spelled "Pau". [IMG]

A trois equipes is staring at us, we all want to move up the corporate ladder, we love having people come over and we love it when our friends stay to meet them, even though our BEST friend is not there.

Ahhhhh! What the hell is this best friend reference? Hakeem? Cat? Grizzlies?

By the way, here's a piece of advice, if you're a teacher and you have a talented child that you can see is talented, always compliment the other kids so no one knows HOW talented this kid is. Then when you pick the class leader, everyone will say 'WOW, what a good idea!!' See? It's all about doing the right thing. It's about ethics - like they have in Europe, for instance. We could use some of their customs over here during trying times!

It seems to me that we are after Radmanovic. I mean, all the reports from the Chronicle, etc. that we've been hearing have been about us trying to get Gasol, and everyone knows that we were supposedly high on Battier. Just like Doc says, we are praising the other people so no one will know how talented Radmanovic is. Then when we pick him, just like Doc speaks of picking the class leader, everyone will say what a good choice it was.

Basically, the enthusiasm ROCKETGUY has for the team is obvious! And you know me, I have this 'thing' for the obvious! It's my job. Everyone should have a trade!

I think the key word here is 'obvious'. Maybe instead of enthusiasm, he is talking about Rocketguy's reports about Cato and the Bulls. So, Rocketguy's reports are obviously true??? I wouldn't really think about this one, but you gotta remember that every piece of wording in Doc Rocket's post is there for a reason. Unless he really wants to screw with us.

He worked out for the Bulls. Maybe that's what he's talking about.

Gosh, now I'm looking for the bad. [IMG]

I actually feel as if I have to look for the worst in your writing TRG, b/c you've admitted to making stuff up before just to get hits (that's not hearsay, I read your posts stating exactly that on your site).

Lying isn't very conducive to conversation... as a matter of fact it makes it completely ****ing pointless.

Hmm, if that's what he meant, then why would he say "Rudy wants to move up and try for Battier, but that would almost have to be to the #2 spot"? To me that seems to imply that Battier is gone at #3 (which isn't the Bull's pick). If he meant that Battier had a great workout for the Bulls, then wouldn't it say that the Rockets would need to move into the top 3 to get Battier?

I'm not very good at this, but 42 being Walt seems too obvious (non-cryptic?).

Stackhouse and Brand also wear 42. Didn't gettingbranded say something about the Bulls wanting Stack? The Rocks have a strangle hold on future Bulls' 1st picks.

Bulls, Pistons, & Rocks are ALL 3 under the cap on July 1. Just about anything could be worked out. Cato & picks and obligation release & Stack to Bulls, Picks & Mercer to Pistons, Chicago's #4 to Rockets!?

A three-way trade, but one or more of the players is hurting.

Let's pretend that it's a three way where Cato and our 3 picks go to Chicago, we get Theo Ratliff and Atlanta gets the #4 pick.
