By the end of the year his turnovers were way down. Ended up at 2.5 which is not bad for someone that had the ball in his hands so much.

    Iso offense is iso offense.

The most efficient and successful iso scorer EVER was harangued daily on CF.

I wouldn't give him a dollar if I was a gm. He's a losing player. That's been his only value to us. He dropped in the draft and acted like such a baby Cleveland gave him to us for free. Guys trackrecord speaks for itself

To me, having a traditional pass-first PG is much more important for the second unit. Once the non-starters begin to come in, it's essential that someone on the court runs the show. Starters can make it work with a couple of guys at any position who can find open players or start a play (Sengun is a great example).

Tate, like House, and even PJ, was publicly encouraged by Silas to be triple threats on offense.

By that definition every player on the Rockets is a ball stopper.

    And that's dictated by Silas.

    And that's why you're not a GM.

    LOL

Ok and kpj isn't close to Harden. What's your point? It's not a case of CF hates iso ball. There are legitimate criticisms of his game and too many ppl brush them aside

Not brushing concerns aside at all.

But I can balance his improvements and strengths with his areas that still need improving.

His production as first time PG has been excellent if you allow yourself to see it with unbiased eyes.

I think the only way kpj is not here is if rockets get a top 2 to 5 pick and kpj has not shown any more development.

But I'm not saying what I'd do if I was GM, who cares how much YOU would or would not pay a player.

Newsflash, we're on a message board. It's for opinions. Stick to posting tweets and worshipping bums like KPJ and Ben Simmons. What a surprise you like that type of player

No one cares what you'd pay a player.

    Period.

Pretty much this, if we bottom 3 KPJ better prey we get #1 for Victor Wembanyama.

I am not saying he can't or won't improve and I truly am pulling for him this season. I just think some of the areas he lacks like court vision, feel for running an offense, and decision making can't be taught. Well not fully, alot of those come naturally or are developed as a child. His shooting has absolutely come a long way but imho he didn't improve all that much in his feel for the pg position throughout the year.

No one cares about anything you post either. You just spam the board with other opinions as useless as mine

@D-rock has a better track record of judgement on talent then most people on here. I would rank @Nook and @Medicine N Music higher

You have a point but I really believe that applies to good teams with smart veteran starting 5s that know what to do.

KPJ contract situation + maturity issues = bad outcome.

I hope it works out. But people in KPJs position with good maturity struggle bc there is pressure and incentive to play selfishly to get numbers.

KPJ sliding into a 6th man offensive focus - even if he starts - is a good way to handle it.
