What was his 3 point shooting percentage last year and how many attempts did he generally make per game?

26% 3pt 41% overall. I did leave out that he is a good rebounder. Averaged the same assists as KPJ. Oh, and more to’s than KPJ.

@DaDakota Yeah i know his spot up 3 looks impressive(i dont remember how big the sample size was but i dont think it was that big compared to the guys you mentioned), and it's something the Rockets need to focus more on this year with O running through Alpy and letting Green learn more as a creator and let him go through his ups and downs in those situations. A true pg helps put KPj in those spot up situations instead of having him dribble the clock out and go 1 on 1 and pass as a 2nd option. I've fully admitted before one of my dislikes/bias against KPj's game is that it's too similar to Hardens style and i'm just so burned out on that type of basketball personally. It's just not fun and peak Harden wasn't enough to win with that brand of bball, but then again Silas letting guys just around like headless chickens isn't fun either.

Team success is the goal, not individual stats. I don't know if it can be achieved with KPJ, but I think it's fair to say it's a huge question mark.

Sure its a question mark. Not as large a question mark as TyTy, but KPJ could regress. I think he earns an extension and will get it mid year, but who knows.

There's pure point guards getting high assists numbers running an offense and then there's Hardens and Westbrooks getting same assists on high usg pounding the floor with the ball forever until the defense finally breaks down and passing as a 2nd option. They aren't equal assists and yes 1 is selfish basketball and the other isn't.

    So Green is scat too?

Because he's obviously only shown improvement in individual stats as well.

CF needs to stop with the double standard.

None of that is news, not a shred, it is all "I think" or talks with outsiders....that is like tweeting what you read here on Clutchfans.

You're right. Pounding the ball until you have to pass is not the same as making good reads and keeping an offense moving. Kpj generally doesn't do that well

Still got time. Right now he can't get us much more than a late 1st anyway so let him have his green light 1 more year.

I'm fully happy with seeing how he plays this year but I want to see more maturity on the court. Not just iso heavy step backs and last second kick outs. I would like to see smart passes and guidance of the offense

CP3, Kidd, Rubio have only 1 title between them in their 47 combined NBA seasons.

Having a pass-first PG is just not that important to winning titles. Definitely not as important as having a dominant alpha superstar scorer (Curry, LeBron, Kobe, Wade, Dirk...).

It would be great if KPJ could be the guy for us. I think he has the talent. For me, the question marks are mostly about attitude and "between the ears". But even though he had a great catch-and-shoot %, when you look at his overall %%s, he has been a very inefficient player throughout his NBA career. If he could keep it up like the last 20-30 games and put the team first (rather than individual stats) and agree to a reasonable longer-term extension (less than 10M/year) with some clauses which allow the team to let him go if he really goes nuts again, then great.

I would be happy for him to get financial security for life (if he is careful with his money and doesn't totally blow up again), with a multi-year contract with team option on the tail end, etc.

But throwing huge guaranteed amounts of money at him, given his history - I would be careful.

You wouldn't get a first rounder for him lol. Maybe a second from a bad team tanking but willing to gamble he'll some day grow up. Once, he gets paid, he's not going to act better. He'll be much worse (if that's even possible)
