As espn puts "In holding off Houston, Kevin Garnett's intensity level is clearly at 11 on a 1-10 scale.". So I bet their engine is nearly on fire or burst.

The bottom line of moral or real victory is do you want to pay to watch rox games. Some people like the results while others like the courses. I will give rox thumbs up for recent performance.

No moral victory. But we do play much better than two weeks ago, better than when we had 6-1 record.

I agree its more the latter. This game proves nothing to me; just another loss.

All 3 were on the court for just over 7 minutes in this game. -3 in the second quarter, +3 in the fourth. The Rockets went on an 11-0 run in the fourth, with Rafer, Brooks, Shane, Bonzi, and Yao/Luis ... but KG and Pierce were both sitting during that time. As soon as they reentered the game, that was the start of the downfall.

The comeback actually started in the third with the starting group, as the Rockets went on a 20-9 run in the middle of the quarter against Boston's starters.

The teams with Steve and Cat were full of moral victories. We would often get close to beating a good team, until our weaknesses were exposed again.

By the way Boston barely beat Miami by 1 point. Does that mean Miam is good? Their record is 8-24.

I see the JVG apologists are out in full force in this thread. The team has looked great without McLady; if you can't or don't want to see it, sorry you're missing some good basketball, with guys actually trying to compete and move the ball out there. Of course they're going to come out on the short end of the stick while he's not there more often than not - and it has been *more often not* this year than in the past - he makes 20 million after all and leaves a huge hole when he's not in the lineup.

It's strange that when the team is playing it's best ball and coming up short while being short-handed that people would pile on and dog the team.

I agree. This string of moral victories in unprecedented to anything in the JVG era.

JVG would always ruin all of our moral victories with his incessant whining about losing and playing hard and getting upset. What a spoil sport.

Adelman is content to let the moral victories fall where they may.

Anybody can overachieve and win. overachieving and losing is even more difficult in many senses.

Great post, Freak, we could have used you back when they lynched rudy.
