Jeez, Kagy, that's rough...luckily I can say I've never been subjected to that.

However, my other two days were actually worse. The coach would stand on the free throw line with two basketballs with me underneath the basket. He'd roll one ball to one side of the free throw line, and I had to shuffle over in perfect form, pick up the ball, and toss it crisply back to him. As the ball left my hands, he'd roll the other one to the other side. This went on for one minute and if you ever crossed your feet up, stood up from the perfect stance, or didn't make a crisp pass, you had to start over. Then, I had to run up and down the court 6 times in less than a minute, or I had to do it over. Repeat four more times.

Somehow, I still love my senior year coach.

    Consider this medical advice:

The new claritin, clarinex, is much more effective than the old, makes you less drowsey, but takes about 2 weeks of daily use to really kick in. Clarinex does not raise your adrenaline level it basically trains your histamine receptors to calm down. Benedryl does the same thing but on a more dramatic and instant level. It basically b**** slaps them down. If you take clarinex for a couple of weeks your receptors will start to chill out and not react to allergens so severely and you will have little or no side effects like you have with benedryl.

If you are one of the 20 percent or so of people who do not respond to clarintin or clarinex, then switch to allegra or zyrtec. They both will work after about a month of daily use and are just different types of histamine blockers.

If you want a good cocktail without pseudoephrine to help suppress allergy and cold symptoms before doing something like physical activity do this - take two exedrin with a very large glass of good quality green tea. I like the republic of tea. Make it very diluted tea with a lot of water and not much sweetener. The idea is to superhydrate your body along with diuretics so that you will go the the bathroom and flush alot of the histamine in your body and replace your body's fluids with fresh non histamine contaminated water. The caffiene does raise your adrenaline and opens your airways and produces antihistamines that last for about 1 hour. The phytonutrients in green tea help to calm the body's reaction to infections, real or just allergies and adds more caffeine to the exedrin. The aspirin and acetaminophen help to ease aches and pains.

And God does indeed exist, you can see him in the carpet. He just isn't worried about whether you believe in him or not. He is more concerned to see if you can improve that mile time with all the allergies he is throwing at you.
