...except to the extent it creates the perception of a place you wouldn't want to play if you were an NBA player. when your boss does something crappy, it doesn't get published.
Hindsight? LOL - come on, tons of us could see that crap coming. WTF has McHale EVER done that warrants him coaching the Rockets? He was horrible as a GM and coach.....and yet, Morey and his Boston connections hires him...why? Because he think he is the smartest guy in the room, and knows more....well, guess what....FAIL. DD
A minor correction if I may. Martin pouted for the first 5 weeks or so. Or more probably he was trying to figure out his place in McHale's system and struggling with the NBA's altered calls when he was trying to draw fouls on his shot. The 5 or so games before he got injured he was the old Martin. CF would say 24 points - Martin is back to his old self! Then shoulder tendon blowout.
DD you are spiraling down. I think you should take a seltzer and contemplate a little. Maybe go over McHale's history as a GM and coach again. But catch your breath big boy!
Let's not start rumors here. Yes, Martin and Morris seem like they may be two of these players, but its unconfirmed. Just someone's opinion so far....Martin seems like an obvious choice, but Morris' name doesn't really deserve to be thrown out there. He had an issue with the DLeague demotion, but he seemed fine once he was back on the team. He was the anti-twill on the bench the second half of the season. Maybe his agent may have complained though. Remember that Camby was often benched when he clearly would have helped out. He's a FA. so, my guess would be Martin, Camby, Dalembert, and Lowry as the disgruntled players.
Coach- Minny Partial Season (2004-2005): 19-12 First (only Minny) 2008-2009 Full Season: 20-43 That's it. Rockets First Season: 34-32. Epic collapse GM: 482-511 record from 1995-2008. Lost in first round every time in the playoffs with the exception of one season, lost in WCF I agree with DD. I didn't really like the hire at all either.
I thought MacHail was just a temporary thing here while the Rockets are grooming their next young coach? Wasn't that one of the reasons why Adelman left?
HOF coaches with lethal offenses just don't appear out of thin air. I wish we had hof coach like Rick the ruler but they're hard to find! Not making much out of the team chemistry. Team chemistry looked pretty good when the bench was waving bynum Bye, bye bye. I think Mctalky's failure to adjust and insisting on certain matchups brought the collapse to our Playoff records. But it's something Mctalky can and will correct along the way. And yes, I'm saying that as someone who misses his glorious fuhrer and the motion offense.
Nah, I have right on my side...McHale sucks right now, the guy made so many rookie mistakes this year it was mind numbing. Coming from Adelman to McHale was like going from Riley to Laurence Frank. DD
Thank you! It's amazing how candidly people just throw the good season, better defense and the emergence of Parsons out the window because of what a few veteran players say. Guess what, every single person on here was complaining about those same players mentioned(Martin, Lowry, Morris, Dalembert) during the season!!! Oooooh man, Clutchfans is the shizzle for rizzle!
That was the official line for Adelman's departure BEFORE they hired McHale. When the hiring of McHale was announced, I was asking, "What is McHale doing here when they want to groom a young coach?" That was really a head scratcher if you believed the company line.
Good point, except (almost definitely) not on point. The owner, the Rox o-w-n-e-r, the one who owns the team said he wanted a big name. The owner drives the management team, sits in on the decisions. Is DM the GM doing a great job? Or is he doing the job given to him by the OWNER as best as possible? Point...fingers at the guy whose fingers are all over today's mess.
Lowry isn’t the only player in Houston who feels that way, he’s just the only one who’s willing to go on the record. Throughout the season, a number of players and agents questioned and criticized McHale’s rotations, adjustments and decisions, but they wanted to remain anonymous. Lowry decided to make his feelings public, and the coach was caught off guard. Whoever remained anonymous = p*****s. Grow the hell up. **** this era of athletes. Staying "anonymous" = ho ****. I respect KLow for speaking his mind, but the rest of 'em? GFY.
