Negative: James Harden still has no heart.

I agree with this at 100%. Harden is an over rated passer. The ball needs to be in Ty Lawson's hands and Hardwn needs to be the one who learns to play off the ball. He needs to find screens and cuts to get there. Just dumping a ball to the bigman so he can do work is not getting the job done in todays game. Set him up and get him the ball when he needs it at the right time.

Who is the established all star?

Ty has never been an all star.

Players have not meshed yet. Still apparently trying to find that chemistry. Never mind that they're 53 games in but once they do find this chemistry, Morey's right, the league BETTER WATCH OUT! :)

I desperately want to be positive about this team.

I've been so positive after the big wins that when they play like total crap the game right after, it literally hurts and pisses me off thinking about them at all. I want to believe that this team can come together and make a run for it but with every passing game, especially ones were they fool around and struggle to beat a lower tier team or lose a very important game, that belief decimates.

I'm coming to the realization that this team is who they have shown to be 53 games into the season. They are a team, while full of talent, does not take the game seriously. They do not value every possession and make the dumbest plays imaginable.

How many times this season have the Rockets taken a double digit lead by doing what they should (play defense, attack the basket, get into the paint, move the ball, etc.) then slack off and become a totally different team that waste possessions, while the opposing team comes back from the deficit and takes the lead?

How many times this season have the Rockets played even with a team then get down by 5 or so points, then freaks outs and hoist up (and most times missing) quick three point shots, which only deepen the whole they were originally in?

How many times this season have the Rockets came out absolutely flat in a game of high importance or against a crappy team and lost handedly to them, not even putting up much of a fight until the end when its far too late?

How many times this season have the Rockets climbed back from a big deficit by playing a certain way then abandon that style of play that got us there in the first place?

Too many times this season something like that has happened with some of those things happening in the same damn game, for crying out loud!

Its inexcusable that a team with a top 5-10 player, top 25 player and a good set of role players with no real major injuries should be 27-26. Last season, we had far worst injuries and going 27-26 would have still been pretty disappointing for that team.

This team just doesn't play with heart, smarts or chemistry. They rarely play for each other. I don't understand why though. Usually if a team struggles this badly, there is some sort of visible chemistry issue / locker room cancer going on, but there doesn't seem to be that on this team. I mean, we've heard rumor about the team being disgruntled with Harden about his play, life choices, etc. but on the court, the guys seem to be together with him, as he with them.

This Rockets team has really made me question all I thought I knew about basketball. They always seems to find new ways to lose. Even in games were the other team is practically handing them the win, they still find ways to make it close at the end, if not stumble losing it.

    I really don't know anymore.

The biggest hope for me right now is DMo. When he is healthy and he plays like last year, the rockets will be a lot better.

We haven't seen that fully healthy roster yet. So there is hope.

i think the biggest positive is the fact that there are still fans in the toyota center and on this board.

I think it is a combination...

    - The team hasn't meshed yet (Lawson and Thornton in particular)
    - Team not completely healthy (DMo's absence has hurt more than we seem to want to believe)
    - Morey has something up his sleeve. Doesn't he always?

The 2 things we believed we needed last year was another PG will passing/scoring skills and another shooter off the bench. Morey got us 2 good players. For some reason Thornton has seen sporadic minutes, but he's been a helluva contributor. I think Ty's had more than just BBall assimilation he's been dealing with and maybe he'll start to pick it up.

Getting Josh back has been huge. If we can get DMo back as well, we'll them have two big men who move the ball, which helps keep our offensive flow. Both guys are unselfish, but play important roles. Getting DMo back will also let us spot Capela's minutes, when we need a big man that can shoot FTs about 50%.

Morey has to make moves that will make us better on D. Not sure if there a deal like that out there.

The only positive is Morrey and his trades. (10 more days to have Sewer in the team)

Well it isn't just a positive for this season, but more so a positive for the Rockets for years to come that Harden has been healthy.

Hopefully Morey has a trick up his sleeve, and by a trick I mean the never ending scarves out of the mouth trick. Because it's going to take some big trades at the deadline to fix this team for this year's playoff run.

dream can't make the little man give bol to big man in post. how can you be unbeetabol when your so called teammates brush you off in low bloc? if morley has anything up his sleeve, it's probably a powdered donut. no cohesiveness to this team and it starts and end with the players. they're just playing rogue basketball out there.

    Season is almost over.

That should be option 1. It's a positive thing.

maybe we can resign dmo to an affordable contract and then he emerges as a great player next year

maybe the best thing long term for the rockets is to jettison a lot of these players and get a semi fresh start next year, and this terrible season can enable morey to do that

    we still have harden

Yeah. There's no way Rockets can contend this year or sometime soon, so lets focus for years when GSW stops being so dominant. And hope Wolves by that time aren't better than us.

Actually, they are not who we thought they were. That's why the season is so frustrating.
