I've been to McALLEN. That place is the closest thing to Mexico as it gets. Feel sorry for the rookies that will get sent there. (Taylor)

Me too, and you're right, there was a white kid at Hooters using the Mexican slang word "way". As in, "que, way" or "pick up your tools, way". Just kidding, but true story.

My brother was at the team dinner last night as a VIP (He's an employee of the team's primary sponsor). Sponsors, fans, and anyone who paid $250 could attend and meet the players, get autographs, etc. T-Mac was given a ball to sign and said "What the f____ do I need this for?" Aaron Brooks said, "Man, just do it and sign them. " T-Mac then muttered "Why the f________ am I signing this" before signing and disappearing into a theater room.

Btw, I'm here in McAllen helping volunteer with the training camp this weekend, while also getting a chance to watch the open practice. Let me just say, honestly, the Rockets have not done well by the fans. The organization of the whole weekend was lousy, the "autograph session" was a long waiting line to let you get 1, maybe 2 signatures, and the "open practice" was little more than a glorified dunk contest that lasted, maybe, 10 minutes.

T-Mac was a jerk and even booed at times, though fans absolutely adore AB and Battier. I'd be surprised if the Vipers stay the Rockets' D-League franchise for long. A lot of disgruntled Rockets and fans.

That whole Darfur thing is nothing but a big inconveinence for you, isn't it?

So Tmac was a jerk at a very trying time; "fans hate me, team won't let me practice or play, so why the hell should I do this **** for them?" (not saying the logic is sound). That happens with all stars. I've heard very similar stories, on this site no less, about Clyde, Vernon, CB4... In my experience meeting TMac, he was a really cool guy. I guess he's subject to mood swings, like a lot of sports stars.

As long as he's in shape and plays well during the season, I see no reason to get your panties in a twist about this. He's in his last year anyway.

Because signing autographs is WAAAAAAY more important than Darfur. Gotcha

Honestly who gives a crap about some NBDL team? I don't condone it, but at the same time I think its totally understable why Tmac doesn't want to waste his time there.

If this is true what Rockets111 is saying, it kinda doesn't surprise me. I love the Rockets.. Do not get me wrong in any way but I've seen some very shady stuff happen with the Rockets personal in general. That's why I try not to get my hopes up at these types of things....

    DD,

I understand where you're coming from dude.

T-Mac could of handled it better than he did. I don't care what it was. NBDL or not, he shouldn't act like that.

Guys... I'm not trying to downplay what Tracy did with Darfur by any means but it doesn't mean the man walks on water.

Several Celebs do all kinds of these things but it doesn't mean they get a free pass if they're an ass. That's like saying it's ok that T-Mac gave up on his teammates last year because he did the Darfur.

Ask any rockets writers or talk show hosts... They'll say that T-Mac gave up on his team. No excuses...

Outside of court stuff doesn't bother me, it's not like any Rocket team player is or will be my buddy.

Tmac only needs to prove he is the best player on the court. Let the game do the talking.

Darfur has nothing at all to do with this situation.

Fans made the effort to go and support the Rockets. Instead they were disrespected by McGrady. That is not right.

I know Les and Morey hear that.......

And I am certain if cameras were around Tmac would have been much nicer.

T-mac has been a star for a long time so he's probably fed up with all these events. This type of attention is new to AB, so of course he'll be more receptive. People overact cause it's Tmac.

He is a phony, a paper tiger.

When he does something without looking for the attention of doing it, then maybe I will cut him some slack.

Because to me, the guy is just about as phony as they come....and I could not be HAPPIER that he is in his last year here.

The sooner that faker leaves the better.

Those comments are very disappointing, but I already knew TMac was a douche.

I just hope he can help us make the playoffs.
