He's really holding the team back. We should definitely start threads all season scapegoating useless journeymen players!
So all role players should be all stars, got it lol Not everyone is going to be an all star fool. Some players are just role players especially if your team is not that good and rebuilding. Sengun is better than him right now and even if he wasnt I would still want him to start but Im not sure what anyone was expecting from Theis or any of these guys. We dont have a Superstar to make them look better than they are Harden is gone. This entire board has lost its mind. No one knows how rookies work, no one knows how role players work, no one understands that we are rebuilding. We are starting to look like Sixers and Knicks fans around here completely classless and stupid, entitled little whiny b****es. It's pathetic.
you want to be the team that finds and plays the overachieving scrub, not the team that pays that scrub a bigger contract --wise old basketball proverb
In 20/21 Sengun played for a Turkish Super League team on the average 28 minutes But the season was only 29 games plus 5 playoff games. Sengun has started 2 games for about 25 minutes on the average. 4 personal fouls the first game and 5 personal fouls the second game. Not sure it matters when he plays approximately 25 to 28 minutes.....yeah sure start him and finish with Sengun. We need them to play the 82 game marathon; not to pace themselves for the 29 game marathon.
More so than green and kpj ... start Gordon Tate House Wood Theis Frankly you could start a different player for house too . But , that’s prolly our best lineup . Our young guards routinely **** the bed and we are non-competitive because of that . I don’t think wood is great , nor Theis ... but they can at least compete vs their matchup most nights .
What part of that is "stupid"? All 3 are net negatives to the team, with Green being a ridiculous -30 when he's on the court. Eliminate some of the worse players on the team and the team is better.
Yes. Jae'Sean Tate would be a massive upgrade over Kent Bazemore on the Lakers, for one. And Christian Wood would be an upgrade for many teams. Beyond that - no.
Like which team would trade for Wood? Serious question - I actually don't know. His body language has been awful his whole career, he is tall but can't protect the rim and is a black hole on offence - who can get you 20, but can he do it in the flow of a good team, or is he maximising stats on a bad roster? I do hope we can get value for him....
About the 4th bullet on this OP persuaded me that Theis needs to come off of the bench and be staggered with Wood: https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/iko-analyzing-the-rockets’-offensive-struggles.313784/ Unleash the Sengun.
