    I think the call up of Chris Burke shows that this team is ready to start building for the future. Tonight we're playing an all rookie OF with Burke, Taveras and Self. Berkman is starting at first.

    Fine by me. Lamb hasn't been his self lately, and I'm all for giving Burke some playing time.

    The Bagwell/Biggio/Killer B days are over. It was good while it lasted....

    we could have had another generation of killer B's if we had a chance to keep Beltra.... Burke, Berkman..... oh well... =)

    Or even if we didn't trade for Beltran... we'd have still had Buck up here. Then add Bucholz as a future #2 starter, and you've still got enough B's.

    I'm personally looking forward to the P's... those being the 19 year old Troy Patton, and the 22 year old Hunter Pence.
