With Shane out for the year, he won't be able to meet the incentives of his contract. This means that the 'Stros won't have to pick-up his option for next year. Also, Milicki's contract is done after this year so he's as good as gone. I guess our starters will look like this now/next year:
    1. Wade Miller
    2. Roy Oswalt
    3. Carlos Hernandez
    4. Tim Redding
    5. Kurt Saarloos or Rodrigo Rosario

*I kinda like having this young group. This year is, for the most part, over for us so let's start focusing on letting more of our youngsters getting major-league experience. It can only help us in the long run. I'd like to see Jason Lane, Brad Lidge, Adam Everitt and Chris Burke up at some point and get them experience.

Yeah, you've gotta love that future rotation. WaMi is 25 w/ 2 years in the bigs...and he's the elder statesman.

Burke needs to stay in AA for the remainder of the year, he's shown nothing so far to indicate he's ready to move up(he's hitting .261 w/ no power - .342 OPB & .341 SLG). Lidge needs to stay in N.O. as a starter so he can get consistent innings & build arm strength. Agree on the others (plus Ensberg, Ginter & Shearn), if we unload some guys before the deadline, bring em up then, if not then they should get the bulk of PT after the Sept callups.
