It's way too early to have a 'trade yao' thread. I will say that if we don't get past the 1st round, we start rebuilding. Trade Yao McGrady and sign and trade Ron. We would get so many drafts, young players and assets for them. And in 3 seasons, we would be like the Hornets are now. But that is only a hypothetical. Right now, we are in 'win now' mode. I'm not saying that we have to win the championship or rebuild, i'm just saying that we at least get out of the first round. It proves that this team has potential for next season, even if we lose @ the conference semis.
what he needs is a bit of confidence. he is a top centre in the NBA, he has had two bad games and an awesome clutch shot... playing bad for his standards. veryone needs to settle
Wow... After 5 games, we are posting trade Yao threads already? Give the guy a break. He is coming back from an injury and this is probably the most grueling stretch he has had since coming back from the broken foot. I know he played in the Olympics but the competition still isnt the same, and compound that with the fact that he avged close to 40 mins a game for the first 3 games.... I am not trying to make excuses for the guy as his play has got me worried too, but it is way to early to jump to any conclusions.
the first three games of the season were fine. for some reason his confidence seems lost right now. i dont believe he's hurt. hes just in a slump. his rebounding and offense was absolutely horrible the past two games
WOW...Your post is really DISTURBING! He played a bad game but dosen't deserve comments like this. YOU R A PURE HATEr... YAO played 2 bad games out of 4 and you were bashing him like he was worthless... You're talking about a man who came back from the bad injury last season and played many games for his countris. You expect him to start with the season with average DD?
stop being over dramatic. If Yao's average drops considerably this season, I'd understand but we played 5 games so far.
Yao's trade value might actually be inflated due to his marketing value. As such, you might get a comparable player in return, for a team that wants him as centerpiece for their marketing efforts.
Right, and two games ago Yao was given early MVP considerations. I mean, the Boston game hurts, it was supposed to be the epic battle between the two best teams in the NBA, a prelude to the championship final, and Yao did NOT show up. I'm disappointed too, because we had such high hope for him. But let's wait till we're in Dec before we have another trade <player> thread.
u kno, a healthy TMAC is wai better than PP, and ron can eat gay allen for breakfast, but yao and KG are not same lvl players. KG is the key for celtics champion, he scarified his stats but he earned the respect. yes Yao has good stats in the past couple of seasons but he only makes his teammate worse, thats the point. and thats why we cant pass the 1st rd and every1 blame our pf, pg, sg, sf, benchs LAWL, u kno wut i mean.
