NXT is so awesome... consistently the best wrestling show on each week. Lucha Underground is pretty tight too tho
Just finished watching NXT Takeover:R Evolution.. best show that WWE has put on so far. Go watch it if you haven't.
That NXT was the most fun i've had watching any kind of pro wrestling since I started watching again a year ago....awesome stuff all around.
NXT has completely lapped the big company. It has a clear focus on wrestling, simple storylines, and great fans. The parent show simply has far to much interest in being more than niche entertainment, which is what wrestling is. These guys and girls are gonna probably go to the big show and become forgettable mid carders because they have no clue how to do simple booking anymore. Sami Zayn is comically over, based entirely on his in ring excellence. I don't know how it's possible to screw that up, but they will find a way.
the thing i think you have to give the WWE credit for is they are not just calling up guys who are getting really hot in NXT... they are letting NXT kinda be its own thing which is good for the guys there and for the success of the network. If you like wrestling you have to own the network because the best show is on the network... like they could call up Sami Zayn and i would be stoked but he would inevitably get lost in the shuffle or they could let him have an awesome run as NXT champion and bring in subscriptions
When Itami teased the GTS, it got a massive pop. I thought that was cool. The NXT crowd helps so much. A hot crowd can make anything interesting. When the ref got knocked out the second time in the Zayn Match, the crowd started chanting "this ref sucks" that was funny as hell. Man that was a good show.
get ready for some all time great matches between Sami and Kevin! could end up being feud of the year!
How is it hypocritical when he worked for so long on money he thought was beneath his worth? It doesn't have to be about the money for you to want your worth. One of the things I hate about wrestling fans is they think if it isn't all about the money you should accept a penny on the dollar. Most of the things Punk spoke about in the podcast are things that we already knew about the WWE. The big positive out of the entire thing is how Punk and even Del Rio were able to shove that no compete bull**** up the WWE's ass.
exactly what i thought when i first saw this... I dont know why they thought they needed to switch up their look so much
At no point have I ever been impressed with the Ascension. They have zero charisma, but that can be rectified with a good manager. The bigger problem is that they are pretty average workers, who are supposed to be monsters. But neither one of them ever does any moves that are particularly awesome or powerful. And I hate their finisher. Every match I watch it's entirely up to their opponent to do the work because they bring nothing. I like the fact that they are trying to build a true tag team, but they can do better.
