I hope rusev destroys everyone and brings some type of prestige to the us title. Hopefully, dolph being involved in the main event angle propels the ic belt some how. Just can't see it though.
the problem with having a superstars gimmick be that he doesnt lose is that once he losses he is no longer interesting... its about time he losses to someone or he will be gone in a year.
Wanna see another Rusev/Swagger. There were weeks where Swagger was a top face in large too how fantastic those matches were.
Rusev wins the US title and then Swagger challenges him to claim the title for America. They could build that feud all the way to Wrestlemania
lmfao has anybody seen the RKO soccer celebration? its perfect! <iframe class="vine-embed" src="https://vine.co/v/ObqdVLU9bpe/embed/simple" width="600" height="600" frameborder="0"></iframe><script async src="//platform.vine.co/static/scripts/embed.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
could you imagine... Rusev destroys his one millionth opponent and America finally has lost all hope and than it hits... Spoiler
I don't know what his contract situation is, but I wouldn't mind a Kurt Angle Rusev WM match. You could make Rusev destroy everyone, and challenge anyone to a match at WrestleMania. Have his music play and watch the Santa Clara crowd pop and go crazy.
I think I read somewhere that Angle re-signed with TNA. HHH didn't want to sign Angle according to the story (only offered him a full time deal knowing that Angle didn't want to work that). Might not be true but thats what I read somewhere on the interwebz.
If thats true than that sucks... Kurt deserves to finish his career at the big show and he doesnt seem to have to many years left in him.
Yeah I heard about that. Kurt would have been perfect for a Rusev feud. WWE creative dropped the ball on that.
I dont get why WWE wants an established star like Kurt Angle to work a full-time schedule when they sign guys like Batista, RVD, Jericho, Brock to work reduced schedules based on their legacy. Kurt Angle has just a big a legacy as all of them. It's the same reason Ken Shamrock never returned and has been complaining about being sort of blackballed by WWE. (Speaking of which, Dream match that never occurred Ken Shamrock vs Kurt Angle battle of the ankle locks!) Politics man. Some folks can walk in their and if they are cool with Hunter they can get a good part-timer deal but others like Angle, Shamrock etc must be on HHH's **** list.
Kind of amazing how good NXT is on a week to week basis. Honestly, the booking makes so much sense compared to how they do Raw and the PPVs it's hard to believe that it's the same company. On Raw, you build up your #1 contender by having him beat the champion at least once clean as a whistle to earn the shot, 2 disqualification finishes with outside interference, and a random tag team match where the least important guy eats a pin from the challenger. That's your month of Raws right there. If it's the IC belt, replace that with simply having your champion lose on both Raw and Smackdown for 4 straight weeks, then retain at the PPV. On NXT, you let your #1 contender rack up wins against enhancement talent if he's a heel, or for Sami Zayn, have him roll off a winning streak against guys he's already lost to. Put him in the main event, keep your champion out of the ring, and have him cut some promos that have just a twinge of earned overconfidence. Now you've got two winning streaks colliding in a match that is must see. On Raw, you get Rosa Mendes and Eva Marie, and the only character anyone is allowed to play is either crazy person, or a piece of lumber. At least I think that's what the Bellas are doing. On NXT, you get a tag team match where all 4 women are far better than the current Diva's champion, each has their own character, and you give all 4 participants their own storyline going forward. On Raw, you debut your new character as the girlfriend of a comedy wrestler, or have him roll off an undefeated streak over R-Truth, only to have it be broken in a nothing match, or have him feud over entrance music, or not let him wrestle and either dance, or just play around with his entourage. On NXT, you debut a guy like this: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/4yqvO5WgwcU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Anyone watched Lucha Undergrohnd on the El Rey Network? I like the show. You know they don't have anywhere close to WWE's budget, or even TNA's, and they manage to build a fun program with good production value. Maybe TNA is just trying too hard to be like WWE that it's noticeable that their production looks kind of cheap.
Totally agree with HI Mana about NXT. It's gotten to the point where I almost don't want NXT-ers to get called up. I'm happy enjoying NXT as its own thing, and not as a minor league/training ground for WWE.
