I expected Lesnar/Goldberg to suck so whatever. Glad it didn't take up too much of my time. I was really disappointed in the men's singles survivor series though. That was a big letdown.
Okay, I guess I will fantasy book. I saw a report saying Goldberg is signed towards the Royal Rumble. Well, how about he enters the rumble. And Brock eliminates him via shenanigans. We don't see Brock from now until January. Goldberg is dominating and Brock jumps the railing to get revenge. They have a third match at WrestleMania. The end. Where is my check Vince?
So they had Brock squash the entire current roster and beat the streak all in an effort to get this Goldberg youngster over. Once again in an effort to get a short term bump, they reinforce the notion that everybody from the 90's-early 00's is a million times better than this current group of scrubs. And they continue to wonder why nobody on the current roster can get over, why should fans take this group seriously when it's clear Vince doesn't take them seriously.
I think that was a good ppv. Women's match? Yuck. So many botches. Just terrible. Tag team match was okay. Pretty fun overall. Good to see Cesaro pick up the win. The singles elimination match was pretty well done with some minor problems. They played up the fan service with the once every year teaser shield reunion. I like that Rollins and Reigns are working together again. Those two go well together. Reigns was acting heel-y so that was cool. I called that RKO on Rollins. Saw it coming. It was pretty sweet that the end had a shield vs Wyatt family throwback. Good to see Bray pick up the win. Orton isn't boring with the Wyatts. It fits him well. His character is at a pretty decent place and gives more of a power spike to the Wyatts. And I'm glad smackdown won. My major grievance is we didn't get to see Rollins vs Styles for long enough. That's my current dream match. I'm probably in the minority here. But I think the main event was amazing. That was the most unique and unpredictable thing wwe has done since Lesnar beat undertaker and Rollins turned on the shield. I'm interested to see what happens going forward. Also they needed to bring lesnar back downto earth. Getting squashed by Goldberg was the way to go.
I agree with the ending, I loved it. Such a shocker with the squash win. I kind of wanted that to happen after being so pissed about the Summerslam main event with Brock/Orton. Upon a 2nd viewing, that was one massive spear. This sets up for at least Royal Rumble and should be interesting to see how it sets up for Wrestlemania. Worse PPV? Naw, Night of Champions was pretty bad, Wrestlemania was underrated, other than the Reigns title win, it did what they could with all the injuries. I was pissed about Summerslam but was better than my initial thoughts after a repeat viewing. I'm highly thinking about a WM trip, already going to Rumble, planning on Summerslam again this year, and of course Survivor Series being here, might as well do all 4.
What a bizarre ending. But I think I like it. Men's Elimination match and the Cruiserweight title match absolutely owned. Tag team and women's tags had good spots but felt too rushed with the eliminations. Zayn/Miz was solid
Awesome finish I knew the mstchw SD going to be short but I'm glad they are at least trying to give us something interesting... Betting we get a Goldberg run till mania
@Dave2000 were you shocked by the nak vs Joe match? do you think nak will get lost in the shuffle once he goes to the main roster?
Strowman needs to be punished for how he threw AJ out of the ring. Totally botched whatever he was trying to do. Could have broke AJ's neck.
Hell, I thought hell in the cell was better than survivor series. at least you had that one fan shouted out to Brian Kendrick, 'get a haircut you fukkin hippie.'
In a way, I was but do give them props on breaking the lose the rematch, then get called up to main roster former NXT Champion cliche Nak will be fine, he'll get a Finn type run in NXT, then get escalated to main even status like Finn, I hope they do a Nak/Styles match pretty quickly
I believe they already announced Goldberg signed to be at the Rumble. In what capacity I don't know, but I expect a rematch
I read about it after I posted. Apparently it was Lesner's idea to get Goldberg over and extend it, Goldberg ok'd it and signed for at least the Rumble, but guessing it'll last until WM
I am really looking forward to Survivor Series already. Houston has been such a hot crowd the last couple times we have hosted an event so that weekend will be insane. I still get chills thinking about that KO win for the championship last time RAW was here.
So Goldberg Vs Brock Lesner at the Rumble. Brock dominates. KO vs Reigns at the Rumble, Reigns wins. Wrestle mania: reigns vs Brock
Can you imagine the final main event for Wrestlemania being another Brock vs Goldberg match? It took what was supposed to be an exhibition match to promote the game, and then skyrocketed it past the importance of both the world and universal titles. It would only confirm the idea that mania is noncanon in terms of wwe storytelling.
