He doesnt own Papadeaux's... The papasitas family own that one. Same as Papas seafoud house.. Papas burger.. etc.
Well thank God! Now *I* can bash Fertita, too! You Moody-hating, Kemah-owning, Schliterbahn-loving dining empressario!
The Ryan's in Conroe is great. Love it. As for Pancho's, it seems like it goes in one end and out the other in about 2 minutes flat in my case. WORDS OF WISDOM: Don't ever go to Trader's Village after eating at Pancho's. All that walking could possibly make you fill something, and no, I don't mean a stomach.
The Potato Patch The food does not seem very fresh especially the steak. I ordered a steak rare and when they brought it to me it was cooked right but it did not have a red center, it was brown and it had no juice what so ever. I asked them to take it back and they did only to bring me the very same steak with the end cut off and cooked a little longer. My friend ordered the Chicken fried chicken and that thing was so thin we weren't sure if there was chicken in it or not. I think they forgot to mash his mash potatoes because it was just a big chunk of potato....and I did not like some guy throwing my dinner rolls at me. There's a little seafood place not far from my friends house and I stopped there once. They had stuffed crab on the menu so that's what I ordered. The damn thing was stuffed with Ramen Noodles and nothing else. I don't even think they used the seasoning pack. Who the hell stuffs a crab with ramen noodles? I took one little nibble and left
I went to the Potato Patch once. A friend said, "It's really cool - when you want a roll, they throw it to you." Me: "uhm...... so?" We went. Food sucked. I, too, ordered a steak (medium) that came out very well done (friggin' heathens). The mashed potatoes weren't mashed. I haven't been back.
i have actually been there....and if you had ever eaten italian in the northeast (NJ/NY in particular), you would probably agree that the italian down here, damians included, is average at best. outside of italian, i think the food down here is great
Amen! St. Louis is nothing but bar food and the service is the worst in this country. STL is completely no collar, wife beater. Marriage and ignorance lead me there. I kept the marriage, but managed to finally get the wife to move away. Happiness was seeing STL in my rear view mirror.
Not "average"...just not as dependent on red gravy as NE Italian restaurants. It's all what you are used to.
Italian food is my least favorite food. Maybe this is why. (Although I have eaten Italian in Little Italy, and it was par for the course, also.)
i think italian food in the u.s. is overrated. unless you pay high dollar, it's all about the marinara. the northeast has its fair shair of bad italian eateries.
thats what i mean.......i know several mexican places in NJ and NYC that people swear by...and they are average at best if compared to even the worst tex-mex place in houston
