Los Cucos does have bad service. However, I just started working there a couple of days ago and I promise I'll do my best not to spit in anyone's food. Unless they ask for it.
Well, I'll start off by saying that any restaurant owned by Tillman Fertitta has absolutely crappy homogenized food.... That being said, here are some places that I think are awful, and that I will gladly never eat at again.... Luthers Panchos Antonio's Flying Pizza (sorry longtime Houstonians, this place sucks...pizza for honkies who don't know any better) Silver Palace Chinese Buffet Lai Lai Dumpling House (again, sorry longtime Houstonians, but there are much better dumpling places than this in Houston) Hollywood Deli Katz Deli (the owner of this place should be shot for impersonating a restauranteur) Daniel Wong's Kitchen Andy's Cafe Miyako (on Kirby) Ninfa's (on Kirby) I'm sure I can come up with more
theres a Los Cucos on 249 at Jones and one somewhere in the Woodlands and they are my favorite mexican place. I wonder if they are the same company as the ones yall mentioned.
actually, i like the concept and am looking for creative ways to employ it for my clients in my law practice.
Anyone ever been to Christie's seafood and steak?? I always here them pimp it out on MIX 96.5 because the womans dad is the owner.. I've never been and cannot eat seafood, but have always wanted to know if it is good or not
The Los Cucos next to HP is pretty decent. There is a chinese restaurant down the road from my house called, "Chinese Wok Restaurant" and it is awful. The sweet and sour sauce tastes like it has liver in it and I hate liver. The fried stuff tastes like it was cooked with old oil. Yuk!!! One thing that I do appreciate is good tea. Who else gauges a place by how well they make their iced tea? If their tea sucks, I don't come back.
You know what I love about Pancho's? If you don't like the item you're eating, toss it! I defy anyone to not find at least a few items they would like there. Plus, it's all you can eat! I always intentionally order more than I can possibly eat just so I can feel like Henry VIII. What does Fatty order? NO beans! NO rice! These are fillers, and I came to a buffet. I order Flautas with chili-cheese sauce, taquitos with chili-cheese sauce, chile rellenos with cheese sauce, two tacos, and a tostada. I then go to the salad bar and get some pico, some guacamole, and some sour cream. I then repeat until I'm full. Typically I can only eat two flautas and a taco after the first go-round, but I'll order the entire batch again. If only they had Panchos-to-go.
Actually, Vic and Anthony's is quite good. I also think Willie G's is great. The rest I'll agree with you on.
dam I like Los Cucos ( on Clay Road right? The new building). Good food for the money.. The worst Tex-Mex is at 59 and Wilcrest called dam forgot its name it was so bad.. all i know is that its always packed but they have the worst fagitas.....
Mi Luna in Rice Village is a huge irritation of mine. The food is good, but terribly overpriced. The service is TERRIBLE, and the restaurant is so ludicrously overcrowded you cannot hear yourself think. I hate restaurants like that.
Willie G's is the only restaurant that person ever bought that has stayed moderately true to what they were before the purchase. I've heard V&A's is good...I just choose to spend my money elsewhere.
I had a close call from eating at Panchos. I had to get back to work AND FAST!!! I made it with not much time to spare. No more all you can eat mexican food for this guy.
