Exactly. Stupidest list EVER. Matt Maloney? Starting point guard on a western conference finals team?! Ya right.

Which is why the list should refer to the most useless players making enough money to prevent their team from going out and getting anyone better.

Mo Taylor would top my list for the Rockets.
Kelvin Cato wasn't as bad a player, but god that contract parlayed itself into a whole decade of capcripple.

    Cato-->Juwan-->Mike James-->Bobby Jackson-->Ron Artest before it expired.

Luther Head was frustrating to watch during the regular season also. He was incredibly Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde throughout the season. If his shot was off, he was useless since undersized SGs that are inept at playing the PG are not much of help. He could not do a bounce pass to Yao to save his life.

The list is just lowest PER for people with 100+ games and 10+ minutes/game over the course of their career with the team. (There's also a "'Bruce Bowen Corollary' to exempt players who started for championship teams," in the author's words.)

Consequently, you can just use this Basketball Reference query for the Rockets.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/tiny.cgi?id=VlBSP

Or, you can look here (note that the years given refer to the end year of a season -- so Calvin Garrett played from 80-81 to 82-83):

    Code:

Worst careers for any team (I think -- I was just looking through each list):

    1) John Amaechi, Jazz, 02-03
    2) Nikoloz Tskitishvili, Nuggets, 03-05
    3) John Duren, Jazz, 81-82
    4t) Brian Scalabrine, Celtics, 06-10
    4t) Red Holzman, Royals, 52-53

Trenton Hassell managed to top the list for both the Nets (08-10) and Bulls (02-03), but only finished fourth for the Timberwolves (04-07).

Jason Collier was pretty damn terrible.

Mike Wilks turned the ball over too much...

Stanley Roberts has to be in there, too.

are we talking useless benchwarmers, or players that did their absolute utmost to make the team suck, or in some cases both (The Franchise)
