A couple of friends and I went to Fame (formerly The Lounge) lastnight after the Police Concert, heard on 106.9 that it was a no cover 80s club. Well, turns out that there was a $10 cover and they weren't playing 80s music. It was a guy with a guitar in one room and straight club music in the other. My friend asked the cashier about it being an 80s club and she said "Go talk to the DJ" and the DJ wasn't even there!! They asked for their money back and she said she couldn't do it, said she would if it was up to her...she didn't even have a counter or anything. DON'T GO TO FAME!
ok maaaybe the one on the very far right if I absolutely HAD to pull something out of there But even her, you know what that top is covering...you pop that thing off and WHAMP! you are face to face with a mighty gunt, I assure you
Probably the worst bar I've been to is one I go to fairly regularly: the Cornbreads at Gessner and I-10. That place is ghetto as f*ck, but its interesting, to say the least. I've seen several bar fights, active drug use in the bathroom, active drug use in the parking lot, and most recently a full-blown, real-life pimp who had like 4 girls with him. They all got kicked out after one of the girls, who couldn't have been older than 18, started talking mess to the manager. This is all amongst people like me and my friends getting off work just before midnight, regular joes in pool leagues, that sort of thing. Everyone's kind of has a "whatever" attitude about it all. Like I said: an interesting place, to say the least.
