    After a week of nomination and voting, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members participated the event in the other tread "Who is the most respectable Clutch BBS senior member is season?" I must say, as a "newbie" in this forum, I'm very delighted to learn some history of a number of respectable senior members. I also feel a very strong sense of bonding and friendship among our members, which is something very special :)

    And wow, what a close race for the top spot towards the end... I'm sure it will create some hype and perhaps more votes if I let this info out... what a waste opportunity! Anyway, great to see a good number of members have been nominated, and even if they are not in the top 3 or top 10, it's still a honor to be on the list and also a honor for those who didn't make the chart but have been mentioned on the "honorable list" by other members.

    Ok, enough talk, let's get to the point...

    When this vote started I thought that I would make a big noise at the beginning of this race but lost it at the end (just like Yao Ming and his ROY race).

    I even hoped that I lost the vote and then I could throw out some complains on you guys about my losing, like racism, sexism, ageism, and so on.

    But now you did not give me any chance to make fun with you guys. So I have to accept this honor and just say: Thank you.

    And thanks to all those that voted for me, though I hardly think I deserve it.

    IMHO, the only choice is Clutch, whose personal dedication and hard work allow us to use this site as our own Rockets playground.

    So my vote would go to Clutch.

    Clearly there is W&S and HP....and then all the rest of us, with DD leading the way. I suggest some sort of CC BBS eugenics program...We could create a whole race of Uber-Posters! Think of the possibilities! HP, W&S...I know you are probably both married...but think of the greater good. It needn't be personal; this is the scientific age. But please...do we want to leave the future of Clutch City to just anyone?


    Congratulations W&S...you are class incarnate, as far as this poster is concerned, and represent all that is great about the New Wave of Rockets' fans, and thereby personally refute the whole Yao-bias division in here.

    HP...I would suggest a recount too...I have it on good authority that SYS's real name is "Chad", and he hangs around, just doing nothing. Were you to propose a Hanging Chad recount, I would support you. Congrats all the same...it is better to have played and lost, etc....and nobody in here plays as hard as you, mon ami.

    Personally, while I'd like to take the high road, a la DD, I feel that I was robbed by a joint right/left wing conspiracy...and you will all rue the day...And you'd be even more concerned if you knew what rue meant...I might just lengthen my posts from now on, out of spite. :D

    Yetti is the worst Ming only fan on this board. This guy doesn't give a s*it about the Rox (I bet he rooted for SA back in the day)> W&S a senior poster? No offense but this guy wasn't a part of this board until Yao got here. This is the most bunk ass stuff I have ever seen on this board. UT Baller was the ultimate poster until some *****'s got me kicked off and made me post under my friend J's name.

    Don't worry ZRB. This poll was "most respected."

    That could also mean, "Most liked." Or "One that does NOT rock the boat."

    w&s is well liked and she provides us with Chinese translations (and always defends Yao). But this is not the same as "knowing the game."

    That's why Heyp, DaDakota, Codell, and MacBeth would have gotten my vote in that aspect. They know the game, but not necssarily the "most liked" posters.

    I'll agree. w&s is a nice person. And she's well liked (respected).

    But "respected" for other reasons rather than basketball knowledge.

    And that's my sour-puss rant! So there! [​IMG]

    No offense to the three I pointed out, but being in front of so many (the vast majority ;) ) longtime, respected posters is out of all resemblance to any sort of hierarchy (assuming any exists) of this place. And it's hard not to see the Admins' in there.
