The Rockets have to be better than 5 teams in the west to make the play-in (10 seed), 9 for the playoffs (6 seed).

You may vote for as many as you like.

Poll limited me to 10 choices, so couldn't list every team.

Ask after Free Agency is over. Teams are obviously being re-made in really dramatic ways right now.

Make sure Tari and Amen are on the court as many minutes as possible and we’ve got a shot.

    With patience.

Some teams in the West are getting old.

I don't know if we should expect results as great as OKC so quickly, but the Rockets have a chance to be great in the next few years. Especially with Ime Udoka.

The Rockets should strive to be better than all the geriatric superstar led teams like both LA teams, GS, Suns.

The Rockets are a Zion depressive eating binge away from being better than Pelicans. They should be better than Spurs, Blazers and Jazz. They have a chance to be better than the Kings as the Kings might have hit their ceiling.

The teams that will be certainly better unless something drastic happens like injuries are OKC, Mavs, Wolves and a Grizzles team with a healthy Ja. So their best case scenario is around 5th seed.

That would make me an Udoka believer.

The bottom will fall out for at least 1 playoff/in team every year due to injuries. Last year it was Memphis.

This year could be LAC, LAL, GSW, PHX.

Also, SAC is a play-in team with nearly perfect health, low margin for error there.

If SAS get Markannen or another all star level player the Rockets could be in trouble

Seems both the poll and you have forgotten Jokic.

Possibly all of them. Since there are lots of teams, one or two will be above us, but if you ask the question as any one team vs the rockets, I would say rockets will be the better team.

If they even get a top 8 seed, it's a success.. Top 5 seed, throw a parade.. Top 2 seed, sell the team cause its all downhill from there

The poll didn't forget. It wouldn't allow all the teams. I put the 10 most likely I thought we could be better than.

The only teams we arent just as good or better than on there. Pelicans/clippers/grizz/ suns? If they are all playing well to their potential. I dont think any of those 4 are leaps better than us though.

    Suns old thin roster
Clippers worse but still have harden/kawhi
Grizz...going to be way better with morant
Pelicans. Nice roster. Depends on zion. Lost valenciunas though

Organic growth. Jalen, Jabari, Sengun, and Tari have to carry the squad

    I have 3 tiers in the West…
Tier 1: Den, OKC, Min, Dallas
Tier 2: NO, Mem, HOU, SAC
Tier 3: The geriatrics… LAL, LAC, GS, PHO
    Tier 4: POR, SA, UT

I think Rockets will win 50ish games and end up 5-8th in the regular season. Hoping to avoid the play in…

We'll obviously be better than Portland and Utah. San Antonio is likely, though I do think they'll be a lot better this upcoming season.

That leaves two more. I think GSW and LAC are probably the two most likely, but almost every other team on your list has elevated risk for injury problems and/or steep age-related decline.

I agree, that is why those were the 4 teams that I left off the poll by necessity.

I agree … and I put all the teams in tier 3&4 as teams the Rockets would be better than.
