I had a few drinks while going out watching the Rocket's tonight, so I'll be brief. White guys don't like money taken away from them. I'm still trying to figure out why Libs enjoy this. Welfare recipients have been shown time and time again that they live with cable TV and food that any 3rd world country would be envious of. SH*T! My uncle has been on medicaid for the past decade. You've GOT to love a Gov't program that still pays him every month, even though he just became a millionaire. LIBS: Listen. Please. I KNOW you think things will change. Some of y'all's ideas I can agree with. Others are simply moronic. The fact is? NOTHING HAS EVER CHANGED IN YOUR FAVOR! What we DO get is more taxation. Look at Clinton & Carter. Two of the most inept Presidents ever in control. If we truly want a gov't that helps the people, there are two ways. #1: Flat tax. This removes soooo much power it isn't even funny. #2: Revolution. I cannot stand a two party system. It makes us choose sides rather than dealing with issues one at a time, which is how it should be. It is time we try to fix things, rather than lay blame. Remember people, Government was created in America for Defense against other countries, and that was it. We flourished due to this rationale. That was it. It incorporated a few fundamental things up until WWII, but we were still a country that depended upon its people to grow and have power. FDR put together a "one time" tax increase to help the war, which never went away. It's time to get mad, damnit! Why does someone get to do nothing on your dime? That isn't the American way, and it never has been, up until the last few decades.

I wasn’t complaining. I was saying a major influx of another culture could cuase unforeseen problems. If I do complain about immigration it's just about overpopulation and enviromental concerns. I don't want Houston to turn into Mexico City. I don't think that makes me racist. But it is kind of strange that white people are a minority here but we should never consider ourselves as such.
the minority doesn't matter, white people were the minority in south africa, power is what matters. as far as the "mexico city" comment, i have no idea what that means. texas was mexico before it was texas before it was part of the united states, so to expect to remain "european" given its history is kind of silly.
I don't have any power. Mexico City is not a place I want to visit. If the search feature was active, I would point you to the last thread about it. The East Texas area wasn't settled by Mexicans until fairly recently. Texas was a part of Mexico for 15 years. It was a part of Spain for over 100. I like that Houston is a diverse city but millions of more Mexican immigrants might not be a good thing for it.

look, you're creating this argument. I said most people in power are white. if you ask me, the people who don't have any say so are poor people. but its rich white people who have manipulated blacks and whites into hating each other when the real difference is rich and poor. its been going on since the beginning of the country, you have a bunch of poor white men in the south going to fight a war against poor white men in the north over a system that is only benefiting rich white people. so why don't you ask me my opinion before starting a debate. you're the one making these general statements about how everyone thinks all white people are racist. you're the only one who makes those statements and then you argue about it as if someone else made them.
I think community is where it is voluntary When every individual doesn't have a personal choice it is called communism I don't mind paying to help children at all so programs that help children don't bother me at all (at least the ones that actually help), but some people don't want to be forced to pay for things they don't want to pay for and everyone should have a choice how they use money they have earned this is a fundemental concept in a free republic at least as far as economics.
