My 5 month old daughter snoring on my chest, with the movie Toy Story 2 playing in the background on DVD at 1 AM, while my 2 1/2 year old son exclaims, "Daddy, I wanna watch (it) again!!" How Sweet It Is!!
I am listening to the new Rhino 80's boxset (great lost song that everyone should check out: "Ah! Leah!" by Donnie Iris..a mix of the Cars and David Bowie and, erm, Billy Squire, sort of..better than I described), as well as the awesome new Flaming Lips record (Yoshimi battles the pink robots, or something like that), the new krautrockin' Primal Scream album I found on-line and a boxset by my current favorite person of all time, Louis Armstrong. I am also going through a bit of a phase with the Ratpack. Before I left for NZ I burned about 50 cds from a friend who has a very impressive collection of American songbook, jazz, Frank, Dean and Sammy stuff. I was kind of shocked by how good Sammy Davis, jr. was. From the sublime to the leather panted: After reading "The Dirt" by Motley Crue recently, I think I had better download some Crue. Any suggestions past Dr. Feelgood, Shout a the Devil and Too Fast For Love (the songs)? Bueller?
I also bought Gravity by Our Lady Peace-Somewhere out there rules I also like Avril Lavigne, and Papa Roach's new single "She Loves me Not" is pretty good. Btw, this Soundwaves music store in downtown Houston has good records for good prices. I mean "Gravity" was 11.99, Older albums like Collective Soul "Heavy" and Bush "16 Stone" were 7-8 bucks. Most places still charge 12-13 for those cd's, amazingly.
I just finished up listening to the two Hakeem (or Akeem) songs in the other thread. However it may be the last. Sorry Hakeem.
Disturbed. Alternating that with Metallica's Master of Puppets... Feeling nostalgic. A little Kid Rock thrown in. But mostly Disturbed.
Staind - "Epiphany" Weezer - "Keep Fishin" (the video ROCKS!) New Found Glory - "My Friends over You" Linkin Park - "Pts of Atrty" (remix)
Hunger - Devil Thumbs a Ride... I've loved Hunger since I saw them in 96. Excellent music, excellent band, excellent party...

Wow, can't believe I missed this. Assuming you're still in this mood (probably not anymore), try Livewire, Public Enemy #1, Wildside, Red Hot, Ten Seconds to Love, Piece of Your Action, Come on and Dance, Kickstart My Heart, Looks that Kill, Toast of the Town, and Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away). You might also try their cover of Anarchy in the UK, seriously. I'm listening to currently: Riddlin' Kids - "Hurry Up and Wait" Butch Walker - "Left of Self-Centered" A - "Hi-Fi Serious" Something Corporate - "Leaving Through the Window"
