I dont get it... why do people continue to watch national media stuff if they know they're gonna 1) bash the Rockets or 2) put Westbrook on a pedestal?
I guess I just want to see how the world views the Rockets. Plus, I like other sports besides basketball can't quit ESPN/FS1 cold turkey!
Rockets win the series. Yet on the Rockets home page every headline says Westbrook in it: These are the first NINE article titles and videos on the ROCKETS PAGE! "Rockets win series highlighted by Beverley's battles with Westbrook" "Westbrook runs out of gas as Thunder faulter" "Westbrook and Beverley exchange words" "Westbrook can't save Thunder from elimination" "Rockets finish off Westbrook,Thunder" "Thunder without Russell Westbrook were worse than the Tune Squad" "Westbrook proud of Thunder's good season" "Beverley shades Westbrook postgame" "Capela touches the sky with jam over Westbrook"
Understood. I was arguing maybe unsuccessfully that the Thunder were not some wonder team with Wetbrick. Perhaps that is the point of the pundits who want to give him the MVP. Harden has more to work with so he isn't deserving. Wish those rules would have applied the year Curry won it.
The Jumps coverage of the Rockets 4-1 series win over OKC was essentially Rachel Nichols doing some expert slobbing of Westbrook for 5 minutes straight about his great season. Then Kareem and Pippen without directly saying it say they wouldn't want to play with Westbrook. When asked about the Bev and Westbrook trash talking Kareem said sounds like one guy is worried about wins and one guy is worried about stats. Solid work.
She has a debilitating disease. Her body can't hold onto sodium efficiently and she constantly needs to replenish its supply. She is a brave warrior, and that's why she constantly has to have Russ' b**ls in her mouth at all times. I'm just shocked she's still able to talk while she does it. Also, for some reason it's quite a common disease at ESPN in general.
Rachel Nichols has essentially compared Westbrook to Jesus Christ all season. Of all the insufferable Westbrook loving, she has a legitimate case as the worst.
Ive never seen this much scapegoating for a guy who completely melted down in pretty much every 4th quarter and whose team just got beaten 4-1 in a series. He has an amazing amount of plot armor. It makes absolutely no difference that he's out of the playoffs because it's not remotely his fault. I'd be pissed to be on his team.
Highly questionable: Was Russel Westbrook's season tarnished because of his loss in the first round? No, because triple double. Almost an exact quote. Winning doesn't matter.
Been very disappointed in Rachel Nichols this season. She used to be a good reporter. Her show has brought out the worst in her. Too much yuck yucks and grandstanding. A little too "too cool for school" for my tastes. Almost 1 step away from Beadle & SportsNation (which is the absolute bottom). Wilbon has also disappointed me with some laughably bad takes from a seasoned credible journalist. ESPN TV has taken his soul.
LMAO! Nichols thought Kareem was going to agree with her about Westbrook. Kareem and Pippen didn't get the memo. They tried to talk about Beverley and Kareem agreed with Beverley. Wins matter ESPN. Kareem torpedoed two segments with common sense..
I completely agree! Doris Burke, Rachel Nichols, Dan Le Batard, Bomani Jones, Wilbon, Micheal Smith, Jemele Hill. I thought these dudes were the smart ones.. disappointing.
I think he meant top tier out of road west playoff teams. Jazz thunder top tier Grizzlies trailblazers bottom tier. Just my guess at trying to translate. I aint a part of this lol
