Before any of you get too excited, her Playboy spread will reportedly contain nude photos only above the waist. I guess this means her career's in a slump, but that she's not quite that desperate just yet.
there's some speculation that one reason The WB is cancelling Angel is to free up David Boreanaz to do the Superman film franchise (owned by WB studios) in March 2003 he said this: "I'll just kill the rumour now - it hasn't happened," Boreanaz announced during a live chat for the E!Online web site. "I did go in and read for the part, but I can't do it because of my schedule with Angel." He'll be 33 years old this May so he's not too old. Would you guys watch him as the Man of Steel?
While I could see Boreanaz as Superman, I suppose, I would think McG would want someone like Crispin Glover or Bernie Mac.
good riddance! every time i wanna watch a rockets game on TV someone's hogging the common room tv watching "angel." it's uncanny!
"Angel" is a show with immense viewer loyalty and a cult following. Ed isn't. Ed was a good show, but it will never be the same type of program as "Angel." I didn't even know that Ed was gone. It certainly wasn't an earthlink or MSN entertainment headline. Sorry that you lost a show you like. Losing "Angel" will be a real change in my household. We gather around the TV for it and have purchased all the seasons on DVD. The only other shows we have done that with is The Sopranos and Buffy.
I think its a good show. Takes guilt and angst to a whole new level. He isn't aging very well since he first started doing the character but it is a well written show and better than alot of the crap on these days. Joss Whedon is money. If you haven't seen it then you can't really say it sucks.
http://www.stuckeyville.com when NBC was considering not bringing back Ed last year, a fan group took out a full page ad in the national edition of Variety begging NBC executives to bring back the show for at least one more season, to finish the story ...that's never been done before. Angel is the kind of show that reaches a certain demographic that produces a cult following....Ed isn't.
Ahem... An anonymous group of Farscape fans actually bought the COVER of Variety to advertise the "Save Farscape" campaign. Not to mention numerous TV commercials, ads in other magazines, etc. A brief rundown... Massive targeted letter writing campaigns Expenditure of over $160,000.00 by the fans on various coordinated projects Airing of three television commercials Placement of radio ads during drive time in 10 major markets Placement of internet banner ads at websites that receive high volumes of traffic Formation of the video documentary/press team Docu Dot by SaveFarscape.com Placement of numerous Hollywood Reporter ads, and several ads in other trade magazines Purchase of the cover of Variety by an anonymous group of fans Charitable endeavors such as the SaveFarscape.com Military and Library Projects, in which many materials have been donated It's probably the most extensive fan based compaign in the history of television. Know before you speak Max.
I'm a long time Buffy fan who, for some reason, never really got into Angel up until last summer when they started showing them on TNT. The first couple of seasons of the show were kinda slow. They played the "P.I." role for way too long. This season has been a breath of fresh air. The directing has been surpurb. It feels like I'm watching a movie rather than a TV show at times with the camera angles and positioning. The story is interesting, and Spike is easily one of my favorite characters of any show. Anyway, I hope it gets picked up by UPN or TNT. It would suck (no pun intended) for it to just end when I finally get hooked on it.
just telling you what i read...but frankly, i feel like a huge dork even arguing over this. it's a freakin' tv show. cult followings of tv shows frighten me. i loved ed, but i'm hardly a card carrying member of stuckeyville.com.
