The Warriors Loss Shows Why You Cannot Build a CONSISTENT Championship Team That Relies on the Three

I'm not sure that is all that true. They won a championship and went to the finals back-2-back. That's enough, especially when you don't have 1.

Heh? WInning one championship and then getting to another final doesn't count as consistent? Is that the new standard? 2 titles in a row? In that case the only blue print is to stack all-time greats together.

Plus, to win a championship, you have to be lucky and the Warriors were just not lucky.

LMAO this won the championship last season. Won 73 this year and went all the way to game 7 of finals. The Warriors are such failures

Cleveland was missing shot after shot from inside the 3 late in the game too.

Funny thing about you blasting the 3.....the Cavs won because Kyrie hit a contested 3!

I think it showed how good Lebron is. But it also showed that if you can clean up the glass and your bigs are versatile enough to come out and defend the perimeter really well, you can beat teams that rely on long range shooting. Basically Tristan Tompson is Golden State kryponite.

Not false, as winning a championship takes everything. But I think today was a good day to appreciate some really impressive basketball. That was important too. I hope you also enjoyed it.

Or, that role players like Bogut matter a whole lot.

Smh - Bogut was having a very uneventful series - did he even have a positive +/- in any of the games?

And here I thought the Warriors lost because of Anderson Varejao.

Dude had three fouls in 8 minutes of play... And kept flopping instead of playing defense...

Won a ring last year, now 73-9 and 3-1 up in the Finals. This should show you that their strategy is working very well and is viable.

Your point is questionable when you think about how many teams won back-to-back titles in the history of the NBA, the probability is just extremely low in a 30-team league and winning only one in a row doesn't really tell you anything about the viability of a strategy.

140-24 over two seasons, 2 finals appearances, and a title, sounds pretty consistent to me. I don't like the Warriors, but you can't just downplay their greatness of the last two years.

    This is BS.

    1. The warriors were one bucket away from a championship. Had they made one more bucket than the cavs you wouldn't be saying this.
    2. They lost bogut.
    3. I think the deciding factor was Draymonds suspension. They might have felt defeated going into game 5. Game 6 was a tough order to win in Cleveland. At game 7 you have all the pressure in the world. I think it was just too much.
