Why on earth would he think DC would get 5 Reps? They would get 1. I'm not really for the change (DC should have been limited to government buildings and thus have no residents outside of a state, but whatever). Those people should be represented in Congress, just don't like the idea of it being its own state.
Congress should pass a law that if any US territory's population exceeds that of the least populated state (I am look at you Wyoming), they should be made a state (I am looking at you Puerto Rico).
Looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_states_and_territories_of_the_United_States_by_population Puerto Rico would get 4 House seats and 2 Senators DC would get 1 House seats and 2 Senators
It's going to be a real chuckle bomb when the Biden-Warren/Harris/Abrams/whoever Administration unveils a Trump portrait in 2024 after whipping his ass in November. If Trump is even alive by then, as Speaker Pelosi has noted, his morbid obesity is cause for concern.
