Yes but why would spill provide examples? I'm telling you they released a product to serve a niche underserved group - that's already driving growth. And because it's invite only they are making sure they get the kinks out before releasing it mass. It's very smartly managed.
The Lone Ranger and Tonto are in a canyon, look up and see armed Indians everywhere on the top of the cliffs. Lone Ranger says "Looks like a tough spot, what do we do now, kemosabe?" Tonto says "Who is 'we' white man?"
I might have misunderstood you. By ‘underserved niche,’ I was thinking of identifying and targeting a niche with a unique offering, potentially gaining a competitive edge, and attracting a dedicated customer base. Hence, my question on whether any niche has been identified yet. Early access for feedback is now pretty common in SW development.
Black Twitter was underserved. Their wars with Musk are pretty well documented in the media. Creating a new platform that centers around AA is pretty smart, considering how much culture is centered around black Twitter. By courting and moving that audience over, Spill is positioning itself well.
I believe we both agree on our criticisms of Threads. Why did Meta just now decided to implement a Twitter clone? This is something that should have been done a decade ago. Facebook/Instagram has a different model than Twitter, specifically Twitter was about making ALL data (tweets) public where as FB/Insta was more about limiting the data to communities. Personally I think Zuck felt like there was blood in the water and thought it would be cute to antagonize Musk with a armature version of Twitter.
Because Meta was watching the deep pocket advertisers leaving Twitter as Elon remade the company in his image. Strike when the iron is hot, no?
Woke people can’t talk to woke people That’s why threads failed @AroundTheWorld @ROXRAN that’s like making a section of only non contributing members It’s like rocks trying swim They don’t They just sink
Oof..... Twitter loses nearly half advertising revenue since Elon Musk takeover Unprofitable.... cash flow negative..... needing to put the squeeze on brands to keep their check...... Threads certainly botched their launch by being too bare bones... but Meta is profitable.... cash flow positive..... has longer relations with advertisers and a better system.... Going to be interesting!
I know old news, but i just saw a bunch of embedded tweets on another site The fact that this dumbass - who is basically selling internet modals - just changed his company branding from the universally recognized blue bird to the universally recognized "close out of this ****" symbol . . Once again this dude is so profoundly bad at this stuff, businessing, strategory, engineering, UX - it's just so delicious. It's like watching Putin get clowned by the foreign minister of Lower Slobovia on a state visit. Every time i think I'm laughing too much at the ongoing disaster of Musktwitter, and that I'm due for some sort of cosmic rebalancing - he literally steps on a rake and then kicks the ball into his own net, then the net bursts into flame. @tinman @Space Ghost @AroundTheWorld Come. Get Your. Boy. He needs help.
Elon Musk’s Twitter bans ad showing Republican interrupting couple in bedroom ‘Elon Musk loves free speech, but only when it’s convenient for him and his far-right political agenda,’ says founder of Progress Action Fund An ad launched by Progress Action Fund launched, showing an elderly Republican congressman interrupting a couple in the bedroom, has now been banned on X, formerly known as Twitter. According to the Progress Action Fund, which aims to defeat Republicans in red states, the platform “has censored” its account as well as the ad, called “Keep Republicans Out Of Your Bedroom.” In addition, the platform has “placed a ‘Search Ban’ and a ‘Search Suggestion Ban’ on the account.” As of Wednesday afternoon, the account did not show up on the social media platform, yet the ad could still be seen on X through retweets from other accounts. The Progress Action Fund said it contacted the platform’s legal department and “appealed the decision, which was denied.” Joe Jacobson, Founder and Executive Director of Progress Action Fund, took a stab at X’s owner: “Elon Musk loves free speech, but only when it’s convenient for him and his far-right political agenda.” “Political speech is protected under law and Musk’s competitors clearly agree that our ad should not be censored,” he continued. “When releasing ads in the future, we’ll be taking them to other platforms, which many others are already doing given Elon Musk’s frantic and poor leadership at Twitter.” The Independent has reached out to X for comment. The ad features a scene in which a woman asks a man if he has a condom. He reaches for the condom in a bedside table drawer, and another suit-covered arm appears, reaching for it as well. “Sorry, you can’t use those,” says an older man, clad in a black suit and red tie, while standing beside the bed. When the woman asks who he is, he replies: “I’m your Republican congressman. Now that we’re in charge, we’re banning birth control.” Rest of article: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...an-ad-republican-couple-bedroom-b2384200.html Ad in question:
This is so silly. Its beyond comedic. News media today: "ZOMG Eron finna put X behind paywall." Pane 1: :Robert Oppenheimer furiously ranting on Twitter about the dangers and lack of understanding of the nuclear force: Pane 2: :Robert Oppenheimer having calls, podcasts, interviews and meetings with Russia, China, India, Turkey, Ukraine and Israel about his genius move to seize and control all of the uranium mines and his plans to sell the uranium to all countries: It phases nobody the Dr Jekyll/Mr. Hyde has every prominent world leader on speed dial. And some of them even call him an idiot and he's over his head.
