    Generally I appreciate local solutions, but I believe that this should be legislated on the Federal level by amending the Brady Bill. I don't think this should be hit or miss on a state by state level.

    Again, NICS, the national firearms database currently only tracks criminal violations. Even if Texas judges were reporting it with 100% exactitude, the records would still not be accessed in a background check in Texas.
