Won't happen. If you saw the Mavs against the Jazz yesterday, you'll know why. They will put the scrubs in the game starting in the 1st quarter.
Mavs will lose tomorrow. They SHOULD NOT lose to Jazz yesterday. Not for Rockets for their own good. They started to lose concentration, and once you do that, it takes time to get the concentration back again! They may end up like the Super Sonics many years ago, best regular season, lose in first round!
I don't know. I could see the Mavs taking tomorrow's game a lot more seriously. There's no need to try against the Jazz. The Spurs are a potential WCF opponent for Dallas, so it's a statement game.
They did not really put Scrubs, both their all stars are on the court, but just not put 100% effort in. They were out rebounded by a 40:20 or something like that! BTW, what the hell is Yao's defence today??? 2 rbs and let Marc Jackson scored 22 pts?
They've already shown they can handle the Spurs. Meanwhile they matchup less with Pheonix, maybe they'd prefer SA to have homecourt. Though I guess it will come down to wanting their starters to rest and not get hurt. They have homecourt throughout, the games just don't mean anything anymore.
I agree. I think the Spurs beat the Mavs tomorrow since it is a meaningful game for the Spurs. The Spurs then play Memphis in Memphis 30 minutes before the Rockets-Suns game, so that one won't affect things in Houston that much.
I saw the game, including almost all of the 1st quarter. Willis, Barea, Croshere all played about 1/2 of the 1st quarter. It was a joke. The real players started the 3rd quarter and made the run, but then the Mavs deliberately turned a close game into garbage time. There is no way the Mavs put a serious effort into beating the Spurs. Anyone that thinks so is daydreaming. The Jazz game, along with AJ's pre-Jazzgame comments. make it crystal clear what his plan is to finish the season.
eh we shouldnt care about the spurs beating the mavs. we should care about proving that we can beat the #$#$%$@ suns at full strength.
If the Mavs beat Spurs tomorrow, then the Suns will lock up 2nd seed, so they would be more likely to play scrub-heavy minutes against us since D'Antonio himself siad that he was playing his starters heavy minutes.
Ok Utah did their part and lost, lets see if we can get 1 from Phoenix, that would be big for confidence as well.
