I already did. [See the post comparing -season- statistics for Jason Williams and Jason Kidd.]

According to those statistics, Jason Williams is a better shooter and less turnover-proned than the supposed best PG in the league.

Here is the 5th installment of the Jason Williams update.

    Sacramento 98 Toronto 91

It appears that Jason Williams florised in the return of C-Webb. He provided his best game to date for the J-Dubb update. Here is his stats:

3 boards 6 assists and 19 points with only 1 turn over in 33 minutes of play.

------Jason Williams made four 3-pointers and scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half. Vlade Divac added 17 points and 17 rebounds.

Williams made a 3-pointer from the corner, igniting a late 10-0 run for the Kings, who outscored Toronto 35-24 in the third quarter to take the lead for the first time since midway through the opening period.

"Jason got us going in the third quarter, pushing the ball and we started making shots," Kings coach Rick Adelman said. "We woke up in the third quarter and started to get aggressive. That's a pretty good team we beat." from the California AP------

As you can tell Jason was the spark plug that ignited the Kings to their second half comeback. The Rabtors lead 44 to 38 at the end of two.

Jason Williams best game to date erns him a very solid A.

Jason Williams versus Jason Kidd on TNT.

Its not even close, Kidd is annihilating Williams.

The Kings came back to win, however Jason Williams had a poor game.

    0pts, 5ast, 4to, 0-3fg, 0-2ft, 1st, 29 min.

Bobby Jackson was on the floor for much of the Kings decisive run to capture the lead from the Suns.

    Jason Kidd
    Minutes: 41
    FG: 2-6
    Rebounds: 5
    Assists: 13
    Turnovers: 4
    Points: 6

    Thirteen assists.

What else is he going to do? Score?

    <hr width=50%>

Here are each player's respective boxscores from Tuesday night.

    Jason Williams
    33 Minutes
    7-13
    6 Assists
    1 Turnover
    19 Points

    Jason Kidd
    28 Minutes
    3-8
    10 Assists
    4 Turnovers
    8 Points

As long as we're using the new definition of "annihilation," Jason Williams's performance in the Toronto game "annihilated" Jason Kidd's performances in his last TWO games COMBINED.

Bottom line is the Kings have been winning, wheter JW has a good game or not. A few of the past few games have been without C-webb too.
I would definetely exchange a few of Franchise's nightly hi-lites for a few of the Kings wins.

O.K. well here is the 6th edition of the J-Dubb update (as others have already started [IMG] )

The Kings come all the way back from a 64 - 40 half time deficit to win by a score of
    Sacramento 100 Phoenix 89

And what did J-Dubb contribute to this exciting come from behind win for the Kings you ask? Absolutely nothing! [IMG] As a matter of fact J-Dubb did one of the best dissapearing acts of all time in this one. Check out his stats:

0 pts 0 boards 5 assists 1 steal and 4 turnovers in 29 minutes of action (I am being very liberal with the word action)

Wow! I'm not sure there's anything I can add to that. The J-Dubb grade after this effort...F

I think CriscoKidd noticed J-Dubbs biggest contibution for the night "JW was pretty good at waving his towel though." I guess J-Dubb might make a decent cheerleader [IMG]

So far now J-Dubb has had 2 good games out of his last 6. Thats all. He has also had 2 bad games and 2 just plain awful games. Not doing so well J-Dubb.

Although Kidd beat Williams in the box score, the game isn't played on the stat sheets.

Kidd was able to penetrate at will on Williams and was the key to Phoenix's great first half, while Williams was unable to do anything and turned the ball over - which also keyed Phoenix's offense in the first half. After Jackson came in, Kidd was unable to do anything and Phoenix fell apart offensively.

this is the real eb42-freakin genius

i know all, first off no **** jason williams isnt as good as kidd, kidd is the best pure pg in the league, not the best player who plays pg, but the best pure point-jason is a great, but erratic player who brings excitement, toughness, and good shooting ability to the kings on kickouts (3rd option though on startin unit from the perimeter), he knows what to do out there from the pg position, and his only liablities are that he is slow on D and can be a very erratic shooter, however he is definitely a good pg, not great, but will survive in the league as a starter for years-i got one last thing to say-my sig was put there by someone else, and its not true, BULLS RULE ALL, and elton for mvp as soon as he gets reasonable talent around him-ELTON ELTON ELTON

    Update:

    Kidd's last game: 31 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds

JW's last game vs. Magic: 1-4 shooting, 4 points, 5 assists, 3 turnovers

University's so called "just an above average bench player" named Cuttino Mobley's last game: 30 points, 11 assists, 6 rebounds

*Jason did have a decent game against the Heat of 12 points, 8 assists, but you can pretty much throw that out cause Bobby Jackson was suspended and he almost had to play the entire game because they had no backup PG. Just about any PG in the league can get close to 12/8 if you let them play 48 minutes and they have no competition.

Kings' Williams accused of making racial slurs
    March 16, 2001
    SportsLine.com wire reports

OAKLAND, Calif. -- A Golden State Warriors fan has accused Sacramento Kings guard Jason Williams of yelling slurs about Asians and gays at a game Feb. 28.

According to a letter sent to NBA commissioner David Stern by Warriors season ticket-holder Michael Ching, Williams made the comments to jeering fans while sitting on the Kings' bench.

The letter claimed that Williams directed the slurs toward two Asian men and a white man sitting with a Vietnamese woman.

Using an expletive, he said, "Do you remember the Vietnam War? I'll kill y'all just like that," according to the letter, parts of which appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle and Oakland Tribune.

The letter also said Williams pretended to shoot a machine gun at the fans.

Sacramento beat Golden State 122-101. Two weeks later, Williams was fined $15,000 for "directing profanity toward fans" in a conversation with fans near the Kings' bench.

When the fans spoke to Warriors officials, they were encouraged to send a letter to the NBA voicing their concern, a team spokesman said. NBA spokesman Brian McIntyre did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.

The letter, dated March 1, also was addressed to Warriors owner Chris Cohan, general manager Garry St. Jean and vice president of business operations Robert Rowell; Kings owners Joe and Gavin Maloof; and NBA deputy commissioner Russ Granik.

"People say all types of things to me, curse words, talk about weed, everything," Williams said when the fine was announced. "They can get personal with me, but I can't get personal with them, I guess. Hopefully, I'll learn my lesson one of these times."

Williams was suspended for the first five games of the season after violating the league's substance abuse policy. He also was fined $10,000 for comments to fans after the Kings' 82-79 loss at San Antonio on Nov. 29.

A Kings spokesman said the team would make no immediate comment, although Kings owner Joe Maloof called Ching on Monday to apologize and invite him to a future game in Sacramento. The Kings played at Philadelphia on Friday night.

Williams is averaging 9.8 points and 5.4 assists per game as the Kings' starting point guard.
