clutch =/= better. Robert Horry = clutch. Karl Malone = better. Clutch just means you trust the guy to take final shots and / or make decisions in the crunch time. Frankly, "clutch" is a bit too mystical/vague a word for my taste. i guess because we don't have a word for it in Lithuanian. If you are experienced, good shooter and open, i want you to shoot at crunch time. if you are experienced, a good safe ball handler and a good decision maker, i want you to handle the ball at crunch time. LeBron fits the second description. Melo fits the first. If Melo had a younger Billups next to him to handle the ball and make most of decisions, it would be perfect. In a sense, I'd say Melo was more "clutch" in Denver. But not because his skills deteriorated, but because he's asked to do too much in NY. i was talking about the 2009 Denver-Lakers series there. I thought that's what you meant when you said "stacked Melo team". That Denver team was truly stacked, but the Lakers were even more so. I don't consider the 2012 Knicks stacked, at all. It was what, Melo, Chandler, Amar'e (who's 50% name, 50% player at this point) and JR Smith. Then you have a pretty crappy rotation of Landry Fields, Mike Bibby, Steve Novak and Baron Davis. That's not a good team.
